    Immobiliser 418 cruiser

I think Bravo thought the Johnny Boy could be tractored aboard the interdictor too.

Normal Imperial procedure is to pair these with a Nebulon-B or Victory Star Destroyer for protection.

Yeah... they don't have external tractor beams... unless it was modified to have them

The Johnny Boy may be able to dock with the Delinquent... it is 1/3 the length, about half as wide and 1/5 its height...

    Something to think about

    Marauder-class corvette
    Length
    195 meters

    Height/depth
    Approximately 22 meters[2]

    Length
    600 meters[3]
    Width
    300 meters
    Height/depth
    100 meters

    Interdictor-class Star Destroyer

    1,600 meters length
    width approx 300 meters
    height approx 100 meters

It would take up most of the hangar bay but you can fit it. The two were designed to bring corvettes like the Marauder aboard because that is a ship favored by smugglers and pirates. which is why I was getting confused on what you planned to do because by Bravos posts it sounded like they were attempting to dock with it.

Unlike the Venators, which are shown to have big docking doors in the sides, the available pics and plans for an Interdictor does not show any external way aboard the cruiser, apart from the two hangars.

That's why the Royal Engineers have jury-rigged an entrance through the breached dome.

Maybe I am wrong; I can't see an angle to fit the JB through the available aperture in the ship's lower hull.

A lot of my basis for the DD internal bay is based on images in the bay aboard a star destroyer, in the ...*runs away*

*comes back* Okay-dokey, pages 106-107 of Star Wars Complete Cross Sections deals with the Star Destroyer. You might be right with an ISD.
But the triangular nature of these ships, along with the compressed space caused by having to have the gravity well domes, means the hangars would presumably be smaller.

Plus, I'm thinking we are going to be crammed with the craft we have onboard now, plus the five ARC-130, four pssenger shuttles, and all the Authority craft now being sent to us.

The book does have a pic of the Tantive IV suspended between the hangars, so that is a possibility.

Do you have something that says a Marauder can be brought onto an interdictor? Or even an SD that cannot open its entire dorsal hull - the Venator?

docking bay doors are on the bottom of the ship.

But yeah maybe it won't fit due to the nature of the shape of the ship

Many thanks to everyone bringing material to this discussion; this is what Rocketjocks was built for! :)

We can certainly take the JB with us, as the JB can lock tractors onto the DD's hull.

There is a possibility of the JB going in the Tantive spot, if we had an SD, but the 150 metre vessel looks pretty cramped. I cannot visualise the extra 45m that the Marauder has. can it fit?

Just thought of something. There was an airlock in the top of the JB that allowed it to dock with the underside of the Gorlech, earlier in the game.
That could be put flush with the hole blasted by those spacetrooper, to the left side of the bow. Would look odd, but space does not care.

    now that would be unconventional.

Here's an image showing the scale of the cruiser with a Star Destroyer

The Interdictor hangar is incredibly small. I can't imagine fitting a Marauder class corvette inside of it. Here's a great pic showing to scale the difference between an Imperator class Star Destroyer and the Immobiliser-418.

The Johnny Boy comes in at 195 meters in length. The Tantive IV was a mere 150. That's quite a bit of space shaved off there. As much as I would like to say that we could cram the Johnny Boy into the hangar, I don't see it happening.

I think the JB is just going to have to hitch a ride with its tractors.

    Oh, fantastic picture, Liam! :D

Despite myself, I was forgetting just how much smaller the interdictor is. One of the first things I, well Yav, wants to do once we are settled, is try to get hold of a Neb-B escort frigate, and just keep the interdictor as a star base, because there is no way we can put it into an engagement against Imperial Star Destroyers.

That makes sense and clears it up. The Johnny Boy can do an air dock through a tube but cannot be brought on board. and can be towed by a tractor beam.

I agree! Very awesome everyone! :) I am here, but not here. Doing homework and writing up a PM to the staff at the moment before Coffee needs to use the computer for her homework.

Yes, I was under the impression that the Johnny Boy, it could fit within the Imp cruiser's hanger bay. But, I forgot that the JB is longer then a CR90 Corellian Corvette and didn't think that the gravity domes would make a smaller hanger bay then a Imperial Star Destroyer. So, my bad everyone. But it seems that the Rocketjock has solved the problem! I'm so proud of you all, I really am. Best group of players ever! :D Thank you for making Intervention so enjoyable! :)

This is Bravo. While I am taking a leave from Game Mastering duties until Coffee and I's computer problem is fixed, I will be updating the storyline as I can in between us sharing the computer with college and the game. Still assume I am not here until Coffee's computer is fixed, as to avoid confusion on who is making what decisions staff wise until I get back.

Update. Computer should be fixed soonish.

With that said, I bring a topic to the table for discussion: realism. As the Intervention Handbook calls for, realism is a major factor---I feel---in the development and successful running of any game. I have always tried to give Jason Lasso that realism, those faults that stop him short of perfection and "super hero". How did that realism play out for Jason Lasso in the post in the Northern Mountains' foothills I posted today?

He fell short when he felt confident in his abilities. He was over confident which is a major downfall to many. To take out that many men at once usually takes patience, timing, and swiftness where He had demonstrated, but Jason got impatient and rushed into the situation where he nearly got taken in as a prisoner so yeah I would say Jason has faults that need to be worked on.

Okay all, computer problem fixed (as of Monday, but college and work, yea...). I am back into the swing of things as Game Master, just catching up on reading of posts.

Sith, do you want me to resume Taller and Palso IC duties or do you want me to leave it in your capable hands until we exit the Greater Javin (as to avoid IC confusion, etc.)? Your call, I'm okay with it either way.

Mitth, I'm catching up on reading posts. Man, your doctor post is great! :D

Posted. I edited the Northern Stretch mission a little. To streamline the mission and allow smoother communication and operation, I'm reducing the main mission to Fress and Kasumi. I'm taking Havah on a crazy mission with a NPC to take over a automated defense station gone rogue that is a secret defense command station for the Northern Stretch.

It will be more of a stand alone post for the good doctor, something to shed a little more light on why Havah Jeth may feel like a monster beyond the obvious reasons. It shouldn't really affect anything in game beyond that information being available to Bravo. Where it goes from there though. . . ;)

Yes please, Bravo, I will run Jim and Taller for the time being.

And in other news..., is it nepotism when you award yourself something?

The IC ****-Up Award goes to I-5 for...

I will tell you why it never occurred to you before. It is because your ship is connected to the Javin Bucket by a pressurised walkway, and switching on ray/projectile shielding would slice through that drokker like a hot knife through butter!

Here I just assumed you were turning on sections of shielding, you could'a gotten away with that by me if you retconned it in another post Sith. . .but no, for that particular award I do not think it qualifies as nepotism ;)
