Check it out. We're getting our own comicbook convention. While I don't expect it to be as big as San Diego's Con, I do expect Oregon FanForce members to at least show up for this as it will be our big thing. I don't see us geting a booth, but we can plan on going together and hanging out for a day.

Replace? Not at all. Just adding another possible con to hit, within the year. That's all.

It sounds like it is exclusively meant for "super heroes", type of clientele. Although, I think SW characters could fit in... maybe.

I was looking at their site, and it would seem that (for costume contest)most of our SW costumes wouldn't be allowed, since qualifying costumes for the contest need to be scratch-made, or as scratch-made as possible. The Borsk Fey'lya costume I am working on might qualify, but I doubt it.

Anyway, it should be interesting just the same.

I talked to Allan, yesterday. Looks like CCG will have a booth for photos, like they do at the Portland Comic Book Show.

From what he made it sound like, this is a first annual convention and they want anybody and everybody to come out to make it a success. So, there might be some good opportunities for recruitment.

Looks like this is pushed to Sept 2011. They want to make it bigger and get more Celebs involved.
