So I e-mailed Famous Players and this is the response I got:

    Dear Omar,

Thank you for your e-mail. Tickets will go on sale on May 6th 2005.

    See you at the movies!

    Regards,
    Silvana Buttiglieri
    Guest Services

Not sure if you guys knew this or not, so I'm just passing the info along. This is probably going to be the only movie that I'm ever going to be lining up for.

    Thanks Omar!

So, do we even have a Famous Players threatre downtown in time for ROTS?

I'm still hoping the new Paramount theatre at Smithe and Burrard will be finished in time.

Yeah but dude, we seriously don't want to see ROTS in there - it's old and decrepit and the seats are reeeeeally uncomfortable.

Sound is the old speakers-behind-the-screen setup, the screens are not as big as the newer theatres - I doubt it will even get ROTS even if it is still open by then anyway.

Ya, the downtown theatres really do lack in the comfort area, but they're pretty good for atmosphere (at least they were the last time I went to one). I'm leaning towards Silvercity myself, but I can probably be convinced otherwise.

Yeah that theater (capital six) does suck I just got back from there and the whole row of seats was rocking back and fourth @_@
I'll probly end up seeing RotS at silvercity in metro or at Colossus.

Man.....this night is driving me crazy!! ARRGH!

I can't figure out what to do. As it is, I'm scheduled to work graveyard at 6pm that night, but I KNOW I'm gonna blow off work to go. I just don't know what to do. I was hoping to do a troop that night, but it doesn't seem realistic locally. So the Colossus in Langley will probably be my best bet as well. There is NO way I'll be stuck at work while this movie is being played! I wonder how the theater would feel about one solitary Stormtrooper showing up?! LOL

"I'm gonna be watching it at the Silvercity Coquitlam."

Nice to know, Omar. I'm gonna be watching it there, too. You going for the midnight screening?

    Hmm...

I saw Ep I at Silvercity Coquitlam for the midnight showing, which was pretty awesome.

I saw Ep II at Strawberry Hill for the midnight showing, which was also pretty awesome.

The question is, where to go this time. I live really close to Silvercity Coquitlam, but I'm curious about this new Paramount Vancouver they've got opening on Burrard and Smithe. Digital Screens, giving us Star Wars the way it was meant to be seen!

Anyone holding out for the Paramount Vancouver?

It would be cool to watch it at that one, but I have no idea if it will be completed in time. The other thing is that there will be a massive crowd there. Obviously it will be insane on opening night, but if the Burrard one is completed it will just be utter chaos. So yeah, I'm definitly going to catch it at Silvercity Coquitlam.

*** Edit ***: Confirmed. Famous Players will start selling on May 6th.

You guys going to line up? I'm having second thoughts on that. I think I'll just buy online. Is Movie Tickets the best place to do this or do you guys know of any other sites?
