Yay, it's alive again!

This is one of my faves from the ones I've done. I think it's mostly because of what was involved - photoshopping heads onto bodies is fun!

That looks really cool! I love this one. It looks very much like a comic book cover. My only crit would be to make the title darker, or maybe yellow, so it's easier to read. But yeah, it looks great!

 

I.. really want this as a tattoo one day.

If I was ever going to get a tattoo, it would be an outline of the Rebel starbird.

With a frontal view of an X-wing.

 

I just got the Millennium Falcon done on my leg. I think, in a few years, I'll give it an X-Wing counterpart on the other leg. Crests, such as the one above, will come later.

 

I'm debating on what I want tattooed on my leg. All I know is it would have to be something I can live with for the rest of my life, a design that I draw myself, and the tattoo artist must pass muster with me. Meaning, I need to design something and shop around.

That's the cover for Judging Angels, my in-progress, novel-length fanfic. I obviously didn't draw it, but it did take a fair bit of manipulation to get the way I wanted it, so I think it counts as 'mine'. I was going for minimalist, and didn't want any logos or background images.

Great thread. I stand in awe of the accomplished artists around here.

 

Iverna hasn't been around for yonks, but since this thread is still miraculously unlocked, I thought I'd revive it rather than post this in the social thread.

I've been trying for weeks to make a cover for part I of my fic, and, even though I have all the image components I need and I know enough Photoshop to do it, it's just not working for me. The font is wrong, the colour is wrong, the layout is wrong, it's just all wrong and UGLY. Could someone with an eye for these things help me out please?

 

Since Paranormalities is an OC-driven fic, I draw the cover art for every chapter myself.

I now add the logo to the image when pairing it with the story, and remove it when showing it on it's own, hence the absence of the logo on this image.

Thanks MsLanna and Ewok Poet I made some progress this morning (I changed the background image and it looks much less ugly now!) but I could still use some help I'll PM you over the weekend.

Folks, if you want help from a professional, I'm available. I see errors (and I have tips on how to improve things) on nearly everything and I could come up with some basic tips. I could also take this over, since the banner thread never took off and I am currently not running anything (though I will, once my awesome co-runner is done with the OP).

Gahmah Raan - if you don't mind, since it's only a single error and your stuff is otherwise perfect. You have done something with kerning on the logo font and it just jumps out.

There are no major errors on a cover y'all have not seen yet, though. There's a budding designer among us and I won't tell you who it is, I am just going to say that she's an abrasive, fierce extrovert who is never afraid to speak her mind.

 

Don't mind at all. In fact, it gives me something else to think about since I've yet to reformat the logo for Episode III's logo.

 

I assume those things are .PSDs, .AIs, .PNGs or .EPS?

Also, your drawing style is MIGHTY.

Started working on Paranormalities: Episode III's logo, but before I advance further and add the subtitle, shading and the Forceless-possession symptoms, I'd like to know if I've properly addressed the kerning problem from the previous versions of the logo.
