The SINGAPORE TOY, GAMES & COMIC CONVENTION 2009 (STGCC 2009) formerly known as the Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008 - is an international pop-culture extravaganza featuring the convergence of Toys, Comics, Animation, Gaming, Licensing, Design and Cosplay - right in the heart of sunny Singapore!

Proudly supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, STGCC 2009 strives to be the de facto Asian platform for today's top manufacturers, distributors, retailers & related industries, as well as pop-culture enthusiasts from across the globe!

By serving as Southeast Asia's premier commercial platform for creative industries, the Convention aims to generate interest and stimulated growth in the creative culture of the region through showcasing the latest products, as well as to cultivate business opportunities and cross-collaborations between various pop-culture industries.

Conference Sessions

Held separately from the Convention itself, the Conference Sessions will be paid sessions that will take place in a Meeting Hall at Suntec Singapore. Students and Industry Professionals are invited to engage in this transfer of knowledge with key players from global creative industries.

Trade Sessions (For Trade Visitors only)
11:00am ? 4:00pm
Held in Convention Halls 401-402, the Trade Sessions allow Exhibitors and Trade Visitors dedicated time and space to explore new business opportunities and establish worthwhile business relationships with companies and individuals from across the globe.

Hi all,

MovieMania is helping to organize the Cosplay Competitions for this year's STCC.

There will be CosCon@STCC 2009 on 15th & 16th August at Suntec City Halls 401-402.

The venue is much larger this time and Cosplay competition is for 2 days.

15th August is for Western Pop culture movie/games/comics related costumes

16th August is for Japanese Pop culture anime/manga/comics/J-pop/ rock etc costumes.


Cash Prizes will be given and we are still trying to find more sponsors so we can give away more prizes to contestants.

The Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention (STGCC) will be open to public visitors from the afternoon of Friday 14th to the evening of Sunday 16th. Starwars.sg and 501st Legion Singapore Garrison will be at Booth B01. Remember to pop by to say hi, and support our fund-raising programmes to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Singapore).

Wish-upon-the-Stars will feature uniquely decorated Clone Trooper helmets specially customised through the creative and loving touch of Stars ? celebrities, artists and prominent figures. These customised helmets will be on display during STGCC, then auctioned off with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The Stars will be unveiled at a date closer to STGCC, so watch this space and http://wish.starwars.sg for updates.

Also, visit our booth to have your Star Wars themed photo taken and do your part for Make-A-Wish Foundation®. For a minimum donation amount, whip out your camera and have your photo taken on the set with Imperial troopers and R2-D2. Donate a little more and we print it for you PLUS free frame while stocks last.

Yes, STGCC will see the very first public appearance of our local working unit of R2-D2, the ever popular astromech droid from the Star Wars movies. You read that correctly... WORKING R2-D2 ! presented by Starwars.sg and R2 Builders Club.

And of course, you will feel the Imperial presence with Vader and the Imperial troopers of the 501st Legion Singapore Garrison. Don't miss the Imperial March on Saturday morning, and interact with the troopers in the Droid Hunt activities that will be held over the weekend.
