Question for all Star Wars Geeks, what were you before you were a Star Wars Geek? A Star Trek Fan?
A Pokemon Fan? An athlete? A Honor's student? Or were you always a Star Wars Geek? I'm kinda curious.

    I'll share
Before I was a Star Wars Geek, I was a Pokemon Fan. Still am too.

Honestly don't recall. To the best of my knowledge one day, long ago an ivory-tower must have fell on me outta the blue apparently, 'cause as far back as I can remember I was drawn to the fantasy experience. Fantastical universes beyond any stretch of the imagination intrigue(d) me greatly. Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, TMNT, Biker Mice From Mars, Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa, Brave Star, Star Trek, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Star Wars among others created for a sublime phantasmagoria that I revisit on the tele- at every opportunity.

For those of you answering 2 years old, 6 years old, etc. were you into the extended universe back then? Because really even I can say I liked star wars at a young age, primary school, but knew nothing about an extended universe.

I saw the OT films back in the early 90s when I was like 8 and 9, but not until I was a Sophomore in HS, 1998, did I start getting into the EU, and then I only read a few book. It wasn't until 2009 when I "acquired", up until that time, all the available Audiobook, and then listened to them in Star Wars Chronological order. then I read through all the Tales of the Jedi Comics, and all the KOTOR, TOR, Knight Errant, and Legacy Comics.

    Big Al speaks my words.

Born a Star Wars geek, always a Star Wars geek.

Though I must say when I was little I did like the G1 Transformers cartoons. Looking back they were terrible/

    Good for their time, though.

Yeah, that's an extended universe alright. How long have you been collecting? How long did it take you to obtain all of those? I wonder what that collection is worth.

Ananta Chetan: So I guess you were around when the 3 star wars movies were first released. Also that reminds me, they were showing episodes of land of the lost around the time the 2009 movie Land of the Lost was released. I don't remember though if it was shortly before or after the movie was in theathures.

Playing dinosaurs and imagining the world they lived in was my "Galaxy far, far away" before SW arrived. Ha...being outside of the States for quite a few years now, I didn't even know there was a Land of the Lost movie. I haven't seen an episode of the original TV series since I was a kid. I imagine if I did, I might be rolling around on the floor laughing at the old-school cheesey special effects though. [face_rofl]

Yes the special effects were laughable. Everything looked about as fake as it can look.

A five year old with Barbie dolls and the Muppet Show, who saw Star Wars and thought Leia was the best princess ever.

I got into other geekdoms after Star Wars.

Trekkie. Still am one. But not JJ's version; that's an abomination which undoubtedly sends Gene Roddenberry's ghost spinning in his grave. See, I can say that cuz I'm a geek.
