How are the shirts coming along? Still on Target for the Sep 9th meeting?

 

SHIRTS ARE BEING MADE AS WE SPEAK. TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THEY'LL LOOK LIKE I BLACK AND WHITE AND CHECK OUT THE FRONT LOGO...WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

we are on for target date of the 9th. i'm going to be PM everyone who got shirts to confirm size color, so please reply, thanks.

it was brought to my attention about the the front logo. so i'm going to put it to a vote. should the logo be in the middle or off the the side like where a pocket would be? personally I like it in the middle as it looks like the opening credits from star wars, but that's just me. please post your vote so I can tell my shirt guy what to do.

If it's off to the side, shouldn't it be a bit smaller? I'm not a big t-shirt wearer, so I'm not sure.

 

Middle. If it was to one side it wouldn't look right, shirts like that always look lazy cos they couldn;t be bothered changing the printers for a shirt and a polo shirt so they just put it in the same place on both.. It's not a polo shirt so it should be in the middle.

Coming from a background in visual communications and graphic design, I think it would look better offset to the side. That way it looks similar to every other professionally made shirt. The only shirts you see with small graphics in the middle are the ones that look like they were made in someone's basement without a budget.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. My son had a shirt on today that had a smaller logo smack dab in the middle of the front of the shirt. I've noticed that he has several that way. It seems to be a new trend.

Personally, I don't have a preference. HSF, what does your shirt maker think?

 

From an accounting point of view the only reason it's done this way is to save pennies for the printers. It's a bean counting thing.

I own loads ot t-shirts and not one of them has the logo off set to the side. Every one of them has front and center. Only my soccer shirts have the badge on the side, and even that is offset on the other side by the makers logo such as Rbk, Addidas and such.

Besides we all agreed to the design at the meeting, it was mentioned it'd be in the middle then and nobody had any issue with it. Trying to change it a week before they are due is not a good, bad form.

 

I think the middle as I said because of what the logo LOOKS like. like from the start of the movies. it comes down the middle. as far as the side thing, marco can do whatever WE want to do. he just needs to know. it doesn't matter either way to him. we're getting an outstanding price or what we're getting here. he's put alot into this as far as time- effort- brainstorming- with me on color / size / location. he should be an honorary member for sure.

I like the train of thought with it matching the movie. Middle is my vote.

 

I would go with what we agreed at the meeting in August. Middle.

 

How come I don't remember the location of the logo on the front being mentioned at the meeting, just the back and colours? Oh well, doesn't matter. I'll go with the majority.

It looks fantastic on the white, the colors stand out alot more.
