I thought Alucard was an excellent pick, but BaSSiL knows more about anime than me. Still, he's shown some amazing ability and he has this thing against losing...

Even though his show is very average and he's not a very good character, imo.

Hm... My resident anime whore says that Alucard may not have been the best pick with some of the people out here. Oh well, for the enormous amount of people I still think it was a solid selection anyway.
