    Kompany's red was harsh IMO.

When the card came out, you can see Wilshere thinking it was for him. I thought it was as well. But that said...

Both red cards seemed somewhat harsh, but Kompany's especially since he won the ball cleanly.

    LOL @ Arsenal

    LOL @ Liverpool

Back to actual football news, Pep Guardiola is apparently not going to any of the legion of EPL clubs wooing him, but instead to Bayern München. I guess the billions of Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour can't buy everything.

All that matters is that Rafa is gone at the end of the season.

I wonder how much Chelsea will have won by then [face_thinking]

Given they have already failed to win/been knocked out of - The Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League and potentially the Capital One Cup. That's excluding the fact they may well be out of contention for the Premiership.

So, reaching the end of the season with at least one trophy would be good, plus it means at least Rafa can convince Roman he managed to win something :p

Saying that United will now win nothing....

Bayern is the comfortable choice for Guardiola. Sure, he did well at Barca... but a coin operated dancing monkey could do well there. He needed to go somewhere that presented a true challenge. For me he's still an unproven manager.

Bayern is a stepping stone to united IMO. He couldn't take on a major premier team and then go to Utd in a couple of years when saf retires.

Bayern is the safe choice so that he doesn't piss off a load of fans whilst still managing at a high level and in Europe. It also gives him a chance to enhance his credentials before he moves to England.

Oh yeah, having played the same number of games Everton (no funds) are only five points behind Chelsea (unlimited funds). That's pretty good. Alas, it makes it even more obvious that there's only one man who is going to replace Alex Ferguson when he finally steps aside.

    RAFA BENITEZ!!!!!
