I'll most likely be voting over the weekend. I'll probably go for Tues or Wednesnight- I'm starting a new job and don't yet know what my "regular" days off will be. -c

I voted for Friday but can go any day. However if there was a day I would vote against it would be Monday. Mondays are the days I want to go home and collapse, they are the absolute worst days for me.

Same hotel, but Saturday I start as a Room Service Captain. I'm likely to be working Thurs to Monday 2pm on. Or so. I'll need a couple of weeks to get other days off so I'll submit requests for our upcoming events as soon as I start.
    Thanks for the luck.

Mike's changing his vocation this week too I believe.

I have not voted yet, but I will shortly. Is this going to be just a normal dinner? You know, show up somewhere, eat, talk a little, go home? Or, will this be an interesting dinner located somewhere with, I don't know, karaoke or something? THAT would be interesting.

All the more reason to do it. I've never even done it before, but it sounds like fun.

No one needs to hear me sing. Trust me. Anyone watch Angel? Anyone see him sing "Mandy"? That's me. It ain't pretty! :p

I'm open to any ideas for dinner. It should be however we want it. I typically save the karaoke for business trips in Japan, but I might make an exception.

You may be able to talk me into a group song, however. ;)

Well, Toojay's would be nice if we just want like a regular everyday dinner... We could also go to Outback or if anyone is up for mariachis on a Saturday night, we can go to a Mexican restaurant called El Chaparral.

While I'm thinking mid-week, there is the thought that we could do it on an evening of Star Wars Weekends.

I've heard of it- never been there. We could also go to Medieval Times or Arabian Knights? A little pricey I'll grant ya that- but I imagine fun none the less.

Tu Tu Tango sounds very interesting. My hotel recommends it all the time. It's crowded on the weekends, but usually not bad during the week unless there's a major (bigger than MegaCon) convention at the CC. I've had several items from there over the years, but always brought in. It sounds like a neat environment. It is tapas-style, and I doubt they have a hamburger on the menu.

I've never been to Kobe, but I've been to several other teppanyaki restaurants and it makes for a good group environment. No burgers there neither. -Campbell

If we were to go to Medieval Times or Whatever it would suck since the point of the dinner is to hang out and talk. We wouldn't even be able to sit around a table... Don't get me wrong, those restaurants rock but not for a meeting like this.

After much consideration and thought, I think we should maybe consider eating at Texarkana; if someone can amazingly get us reservations, we should probably look at Dorsia.

I liked the Tu Tu Tango option but know that they are almost always busy there and it might be hard to have a dinner with our group during a weekday. I was going to suggest some place like Bahama Breeze, if it stays nice out we can even do dinner on the patio but not sure what everyone else thought. Let's keep the ideas flowing and then we can do a poll or is that pole? ;)
