I'm okay with some of it. I spent like two hours the other day watching lyric videos for macklemore songs lol. Kind of really love him haha.

yeah I'm impressed lol. He was in town last month but I couldn't get time off work to go see him. So sad haha.

 

The only band I would be inclined to look at lyrics for is Rise Against. And I can understand them to the point I don't need to.

 

I usually look up lyrics just to get those few words I just know I sing wrong.

 

Hip hop can either have good lyrics or lyrics that make you go huh?

 

I guess it depends what you're into lol. I rock a lot of josh groban. I also still wake myself up by headbanging to MCR in the mornings. Variety is good

 

It is. Lately I've been into what they call jazz hip hop

Josh Groban and MCR are on my top ten. MCR being my favourite band.

I think rap tends to make more sense as poetry. Even then it can be really weird.

 

I also count mcr as my favourite haha. I actually cried when they split up, the 14 year old inside of me will never recover haha.

....probably has something to do with CONSTANTLY being called racist for not liking it. Apparently Eminem doesn't exist.

 

I dislike rap too for the most part. Not a fan of the typical messages. Or lack thereof.

That's why I'm really enjoying Macklemore, got some decent messages in his songs. Same Love and Otherside are my current favourites.
