I personally think his involvement in the saga is over, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see him somehow return!

IAN is an actor, a THEATER ACTOR, not a movie star. Which unfortunately (Though fortunately for us) means he will ALWAYS be in need of money. Even more unfortunate than his need for work, is Lucas's Legendary Stingyness...

Did you not learn that overconfidence is a weakness, fools? And from whom? The most overconfident fool of them all: the fool you follow.

Seek you the truth? Then seek me, for I and only I am the true Galactic Emperor. Cast aside the illusion. Resist the peer pressure. Search within your soul. Seek the truth and you shall find that it leads to me and to me alone. Come, join me, take your place at my feet before it is too late.

He dons the Vile MONKEY FACE, and denies the DIVINITY OF IAN in this HOLY SHRINE OF THE FIGS. Yet no accolytes raise their voice in protest save this sad Neimodian. The wind echoes through these empty halls, populated mainly by Ghosts...

Really??? Do I really need to take care of that thing again? [face_frustrated]

    *sighs*

All right then, for old time's sake...

Ah, that actually felt pretty good, to be honest. I haven't done that in a long time! :)

Now, go back to your banana tree!!! o_O

I hope in this age of technical wonders, where everyone and their grandmother has an iPhone, that Somebody will Bootleg IAN'S WONDERFUL POETRY READINGS for us this July the 13th... Londoners, it's in your hands.

What poem, or piece of literature, would you like to hear IAN read. The choices are infinite, but I'd like to start it off with Lewis Carol's "Jabberwocky" from "Through the Looking Glass". I'd just like to hear his voice work those nonsense words....

"The Raven " by Edgar Allen Poe!

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
    Only this, and nothing more.'

I hope with the Blu-Ray releases we will get some IAN Deleted scenes (incinerated from history because they were too good for our mortal eyes). I'm sure there will be some prequell stuff, but I long for new Jedi-era Palpatine...

Fellow FIGsers, I have just watched a clip of Ian, the mighty God, playing the Porter in MacBeth. I will admit it was the first time I saw a clip of him performing in the MacBeth production and it was great. Here is the clip:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuL8aWWGUTQ

PS: If you listen closely he sounds like Palpatine in some places.

He is great in that clip. In the same production he also plays Thane Ross. (which he is, of course, magnificent at) I happened to be playing Ross in a production of MacBeth when I watched this old BBC version and was so delighted that IAN was in it

Hey FIGERS check Ian's confrontation scene with the late John Thaw in a classic 1990 episode of Inspector Morse called Masonic Mysteries. Ian as always is playing the villian - Morse's arch nemisis Hugo De Vries.

What toy, statuette, action figure, or other ICON IN IAN'S LIKENESS, is the greatest?

I would recommend either Sideshow Collectibles' 1:6 scale Sidious/Palpatine 2-pack, or their ROTJ Emperor w/Throne.

Well, I don't have any Palpatine action figures or collectibles or anything of that nature, but I like how this Emperor Palpatine keepsakes ornament from Hallmark Gold Crown looks:

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/img/vault/collecting/20080708/palpatine_bg.jpg]

Looks like Palpatine is patiently waiting for us to BBQ heretics.

Wife picked up that ornament for me too!

    Tres kewl!

"Young fool. Only now do you realize the POWER of trendy battery powered Star Wars holiday ornaments made in China!"

Nothing says Seasons Greetings like the cackling evil Sith Emperor from "a galaxy far, far away!"

I bought that ornament last year. Sits on my shelf of movies right now.
