This is a period of Star Wars history that is ripe for exploration. I'd love to learn the birth of the Sith, as well as how The Exiles and Red Sith tie-in to Sadow, Kressh, Ragnos, and the Sith of that era.

    Absolutely... That would be great!
The writers of such a novel/comic would have carte blache.
It would really be interesting to see how the Sith Empire functioned.

Maybe the Sith could discover some technology left behind by the Rakata?
    What is Kind Adas' legacy?
What did Simus and Ragnos not agree on?
Why is Ragnos considered to be a great ruler?
Ajunta Pall, XoXaan and Karness Muur... Did they eventually start fighting each other? How did they die?
Did all Sith worship their 'lords'? Was there never any rebellion?
    ...

Why didn't the Jedi think that there will be blowback from exiling the Sith? They must have known that there could be other space faring species out there.

The Jedi probably figured that any species that are out there wouldn't accept the Exiles.

There are plenty nasty species out there. It sounds a bit naive.

Perhaps the GFFA was a naive place back then.

It would have made more sense the way it was originally intended when it arose from the First Great Schism -- especially if they were exiled on sleeper ships.

Now with the forcesaber in Dawn of the Jedi, it is making it seem like it was a bad idea to completely reset major Jedi/Sith history because of KOTOR 2, rather than present the lightsaber technology as being much older than initially stated.

Before DOTJ, where was it stated that lightsabers didn't exist in 25,000 BBY?

Probably either the Tales of the Jedi Companion (which provided the Sith originating from the First Great Schism) or the Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology, or both. The original Star Wars Encyclopedia may have as well. I think I still have that somewhere, perhaps I'll check.

As someone who loves Sith history, just slightly more than Mandalorian history, I of course support anything that'd lead to us gaining more info. on this era.

After multiple wars? I would imagine civilians being upset about it. It's the equivalent of sending Saddam and a bunch of other dictators to Mars with supplies and some hot chicks.

Sounds very like Khan Noonien Singh & his buddies. The difference is that it's not clear in the episode, that they're exiles- it's implied that they left Earth in their own spaceship.

It's only the Star Trek EU that has their leaving Earth having been orchestrated as something to protect Earth from them, and allow it to rebuild. Hence the ship's name- that of a penal colony, Botany Bay.

    1. The First Great Schism was established in Golden Age of the Sith as backstory for the Sith Empire.
    2. In case your wondering, in real life, the First Great Schism is when the Eastern (Greek) Orthodox Church split off from the Roman Catholic Church and the Second Great Schism was a dispute over who the Pope is.

Have they retconned Ajunta Pall saying "We were the first to rebel, the first to disobey."? Did Pall not know about Xendor?

He's not a reliable narrator. He had been a Sith, of course he'd want to exaggerate.

A Sith as an unreliable narrator? I don't believe it.

Neither do I. No one's as reliable as a Sith!

Anyway, could the Sith foundation date retcon be undone at this point? Summer Dreamer LivingJediDream Dr. Steve Brule

Not really, unless by the ST. Legacy and the Book of the Sith have made clear that they're the product of the Hundred-Year Darkness.

Can you quote that? I'm curious about that theory.
