I believe it is widley known Master Yoda was not aware of his Force ability until he was discovered by Jedi Master N'Kata Del Gormo in his younger life, after being stranded on a remote planet after an asteriod collision that wrecked his starship. It was through this chance meeting that Yoda was able to train as a Jedi and continue to learn the ways of the Force at our Temple on Coruscant.

Master Yoda continued to prove himself as a Jedi through various assisgnments in his early life such as the conflict with the Witches of Dathomir, the protection of the X'Ting natives and the battle against the Yinchorri uprising. After training Padawans in the ways of lightsaber combat such as Dooku and Cin Drallig, it was the invastion of the Naboo system nearly 70 years later that set in motion the events all too familiar with the re-emergence of the Sith, the destruction of the Jedi Order and subsequent teachings of Master Yoda in excile to Anakin Skywalker's offsring, Luke, in the days of the Empire.

His significant contributions to the Jedi Order have been the notion he has instructed nearly all the Jedi of the Order in his time as Grand Master spanning many, many years. Also, he was the champion of instructing younger generations in the ways of the Force and that all experiences and decisions were learned from, no matter what the outcome.

Master Yoda also contributed to the Order by teaching Luke Skywalker to control, listen to and harness his Force ability so he could eventually bring down the reign of Sith Lord Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine during the Battle Of Endor and the slow emergence of a New Jedi Order, thanks to his teachings.

 

@Obi_Wan_Geldered Good job! You've mentioned at least 3 really significant contributions Yoda made not only to the Jedi Order but also to the Galaxy as a whole. It was also well presented and concise well done!

I have a confession to make. A lot of my task inspirations when I was a Padawan came via paraphrased Wookieepedia articles. Also, I have no recollection of what task Jedi_Corin_Daan is on or ready for. We're still in the single digits, right? I dunno...anywho, I'm not dead, so that's good.
