Corran had just finished calling ten children?s parents, but he dreaded his next call.

He had to call Kauti Avatar?s people and explain to her parents why she was missing as well as her sisters.

While the other parents had used some very austere and colorful words, Corran could only imagine what the fiery red-head?s parents must act like. ?[i]She had to learn it somewhere, unless she really did spend too much time around Mara.[/i]?

A man answered the comm call.

A very familiar man.

?Corran!? Pash exclaimed, happily. ?How?re you doing??

Corran swallowed, his throat suddenly very dry.

Pash?s eyes narrowed. ?What?s wrong??

?Avatar?? was all Corran could squeak out of his rapidly constricting throat.

Pash looked confused. ?How?d you know about that? Wait, don?t tell me; I don?t want to know.?

?Pash...? Corran swallowed hard. ?You know how annoying Wes gets, right??

Pash nodded. ?Yeah, I was convinced he?d mess up my wedding. Thank goodness Wedge caught him in time...?

?Well, I pulled a huge prank on him.?

?Good for you!? Pash said. ?But, what's wrong? Did it backfire? Did he get you good??

Corran slowly nodded. ?Oh, it backfired all right. Pash... this isn?t easy to tell you. Kuati was kidnapped.?

?Excuse me?? Pash asked, his voice icily calm. ?And it?s a result of the prank??

Corran nodded. ?And Rymi and Teena went after her in Luke?s X-Wing.? He winced.

Pash?s face was devoid of emotion. ?We?ll discuss this later, Horn. I need to tell my wife. Thank you for informing me.? He clicked the comm off. Corran stared at the blank screen for a long time after.

oh that was good. but um can i ask who Pash is??? sorry i havent read the x-wing series i couldnt find them anythere when i started reading and now i can be bother going that far back in the timeline.

 

Well, Pash Cracken is a wonderful guy. One of Mryi's and my favorites. The Unofficial Encyclopedia is a great resource btw.

 

Poor Corran! Poor Pash! But still, Corran's reaction was so funny!

Myri and I were full of plot twists on this story arc. I probably shouldn't mention that I had that post written during the summer, should I? :: ducks ::

Myri's off at college now, so I'll have to figure out how exactly they got rescued and so on by myself. Either that or I'll just pull a "Wow, that was so cool how you rescued me," blah blah blah post.

 

Poor Corran, having to call all those parents. I bet he was expecting an explosion, but I'm not sure Pash's reaction was much better, considering they are/were pretty much friends.

 

Thought Id up this............. if Jaya cant write more........ then I'll step back in.
