Yeah, and ugh! I can't imagine a nine year old singing Over the Rainbow! Garland was the PERFECT choice for Dorothy. She was just like a little girl from Kansas. She wasn't hot, she was plump, but she was beautiful!

Part of that came from an interview with the dude who played the scarecrow, Jack Haley, which I agree with. ;)

    Her cheeks.

Did you know that in the book the red shoes are actually silver but they changed it because the shoes wouldn't show up good in black and white?

Really? Wow! Silver would have matched much better but I can see why they went with red. Why didn't they go with something that matched better like blue?

Because red is ruby and it sounds more royal and cool than blue. Think not along the lines of fashion, but along the colors of royalty. Purple is one but purple is... not very royaly looking. I like red better than silver.

Did you know that in the Witch's first scene, when she disappeared in a ball of flame, she actually got burnt really bad?

    This is a funny story:

    WITCH'S AGENT
Hey, Maggie, the folks at MGM want you at the Wizard of Oz.

    MARGARET HAMILTON
(THINKS Oh, the Wizard of Oz, I love that story! Maybe I could be Glinda!)
    What's the part?

    WITCH'S AGENT
    Well... the Wicked Witch.

    MARGARET HAMILTON
    The WITCH?!!

    WITCH'S AGENT
    Yeah, who else????

Is that what really happened? If so that is hilarious! I thought the Witch was done well!

Yeah, I saw it in a documentary. I love the Witch! I don't like the Wizard very much though. In the film, he's reduced to a cheap trickster. But that's the only aspect of the film I don't like.

Fly, fly, my pretties! Fly, fly, FLY!!!!!

My favorite scene is either the munchkins or the gathering of the four parties... I like the journey from Munchkinland to the Emerald City, and the scenes in the Witch's castle, except Dorothy says Oh! way too much. :p

I think my favorite part was the lullaby league(I think that is what they said) and the Lollipop Guild!

I always thought the girl was eighteen. [face_not_talking]
She did talk like she was ninety, however.

    18?! Goodness boy!

Her way of talking got kinda old but it worked well for her character.

    [face_laugh]

I would rather go everywhere in a bubble than in a cloud of smoke!

    Did Glinda use a broom?

No. I don't think so. I was always mystified by that bubble... and the music that went with it. [face_hypnotized]
