Hey,

I am wanting to make a Yoda puppet and while we are useing the latex mask (modified) for the head, we still need to make hands (that can be interacted with) and feet.

I thought latex would be good to blend it with the mask.

The thing is I am so unfamiliar with latex etc and thought to ask you guys.

Firstly has anyone attempted this before?

How would I go about it?

Thanks!

Justin

Greetings,
I believe that another forum will be very useful to you in this endeavour; the monster lab
I am currently working in rubber latex, and have been relieved by the results.
In brief a process you could follow might look like this;
1. Sculpt the hands and feet in clay.
2. Mold the sculptures with plaster of paris -- there are more apporpiate materials that are a little harder to come by for this purpose.
3. Clean the mold.
4. Pour in or brush on the latex to a consistant thickness.
5. Allow latex to cure.
6. Demold.
7. Paint. You will want to use a flexible paint.

A great sight, if not thee sight for supplies; The Monster Makers

Enjoy.
