Calgary Volunteers needed for the CCEE!!!

(posting it here just in case someone misses in the meeting thread)

If you can't make the meeting, but want to volunteer to help out at either the FF table or for the Expo, please PM me by tomrorow. I require a name and phone number.

Just to be clear, you will only get a volunteer badge (which includes your entry in for free) if you are volunteering for the Expo.
The volunteer times for the Expo are:
8-12
12-3
3-7

Please indicate which time you would be available for in your PM. If you're volunteering for just our table, we'll work out a schedule once I get all the names.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help out at the Expo! This is the list I have - PLEASE show up for your alotted time. They really do need all the help they can get, and we don't want to leave someone stuck for more than what they signed up for.

There will be a volunteer station you would check into, to obtain your badge as well as find out where they need you. I haven't been told where that is yet. We do have a change room as well. I will be checking out the area on Saturday so come see me Sunday morning and I'll let you know where to go.

This is going to be a GREAT event!

 

How do the volunteers get into the building? Do they have our names on a list at the door, or do we need a special pass or somthing?

 

Well, we have the FF list, plus at least one of us will likely be at or near the door to give you your volunteer pass.

 

Alright, I will probably wear my armor there, but there will be a place to change and store my gear, correct?

 

For volunteers, yes. Though I'd recommend changing into your armour there. Mando's in public tend to freak people out a bit.

 

Isn't that the idea? I'm getting a ride to the Expo, so I won't run into many people who won't know why I'm in armor.

I am still sore from 8 hours on my feet in armor, but it was well worth it!
