Abq Walmart Car Show

My lovely wife's sister (twice removed) works at the Carlisle store and one of her managers working with CMN saw us in the paper and is thinking and trying to get us to come help out during the car show. Don't know when it is but it will be in June sometime, hopefully not the 11th. They are still working out details and everything so we will have to work on it. There will be a place to change and secure our stuff. This is for CMN to raise money for a new incubator. So when I find out more will put them in touch with you Halo, Wook and Gecko.

 

Awesome! If it's not on the 11th, count me in!

 

If it is on the 11th we will tell them that we can't do it since we have prior engagements.

 

Ok looks like it will be the 4th of June, still getting the proper contact for wook, gecko, or halo. They will have a place to change, store our stuff and shade. when I know more you will know more

We also have a working meeting for the Star Wars Library Day on June 4th from 2-5pm, but not everyone needs to be there, so if some people can do the car show, and others can attend the meeting at the library.

 

Any new word on this? They have flyers posted saying come get your pic withus. Halo, Wook did you get a hold of Ricky yet?

 

I haven't gotten a hold of him yet, but will try tomrrow. What time did they plan on some of us being there?

 

Tara was talking about 1000 to noon or bett 1100 to 1. Show goes from 1000 to 200 so they are flexible. I guess that a lot of people are asking, they will have someone there to do the pictures from walmart.

Ok...got a hold of Ricky...we are on from 11-1 at the Carlisle Walmart. We'll have similar accomodations as far as changing goes. They will take care of the pictures/donations. Since the car show is outside and it's supposed to be hot this weekend, we'll most likely be inside again. I told him we'll probably have 5+ costumed people there...and we'll still be done in time for the meeting at 2pm.

 

crap. i can't be at this. i wish i could go, but i'm going to LA this weekend, my friend bought me a plane ticket so i can't refuse.

i thought our june meeting wasn't until later. what meeting is this at 2pm?
