Welcome, feeltheforcee!!! I won't speak for others, but I will watch the saga in order. I-VI probably one per evening. I don't do marathons for any series, even ones that I love.

Haven't done the Star Wars marathon just yet, but usually do while the kids are on winter break. We usually include The Clone Wars DVDs, too.

Oh, the legends of the infamous SWHS are true. George Lucas in an interview said that wished that he had every copy of that dreadful show so that he could smash them with a sledgehammer. Carrie Fisher said in an interview that when people stay past a certain time at her parties, she puts it on her TV and her guests promptly leave. I was seven-years-old when it was broadcast for the first time. I was sick and mom let me watch it to cheer me up. I seem to remember being bed ridden for a few days, whether it was a result of watching SWHS, I may never know. :p

That's why the Maker invented VCRs that is good way to get rid unwanted guest. Nothing clears the room like Bea Arthur ;)

I recently moved into an apartment complex that has it's own dedicated theatre. Planning on watching all three original movies from this Sunday on in this private theatre (1 each week)

I'll be watching episodes I-IV in that order this weekend. I DVRed them on Spike. I was wondering what version Spike shows though? I've watched them on spike before and haven't noticed any blinking ewoks, and I haven't heard Vader yelling NOooo before tossing his boss to his death.

I'm pretty sure there were HD masters of the 2004 DVD versions made for broadcast a good few years before the 2011 Blu-Ray set, they're probably from those. So you'll get Ian McDiarmid as Palps and Hayden as Anakin's ghost, but no blinking Ewoks or the Vader NOOOOO.

If it's still Shaw as Anakin's ghost & the original Emperor, it'll be the 1997 SE's. Doubt very much that anyone screens the OOT anymore, due to the unavailability of decent quality (HD) masters.

I did a marathon on xmas day in the 1-6 order. I thought starting from 6am to 6pm and were good. Took 17 hours to watch mainly because of much needed breaks in between. But I have to say I've watched them many times but this time watching it, I've never had so much fun and time invested in them that I didn't before. But I think I'll stick to the two a day scenario because watching them in one day really does take it out of you :).

I got a new TV for Christmas, I have today off and it's like -2 outside with half a foot of snow on the ground. Sounds like a perfect day to watch TESB. Of course every day is the perfect day to watch TESB.

    Yes indeed.

Whenever it snows I always want to watch The Thing, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Shining.

[face_laugh] Yeah, that's definitely a snow day trifecta! I'll toss Rocky IV into that mix as well. In fact, I was listening to the soundtrack on my iPhone last night as I was shoveling my driveway while getting ready to go to work :p.

I want some snow so bad so I can take a run in it through the woods near my house. I'll even run up a hill and yell "Drago!!!"

On topic: Hoth is very cold.
