Excellent work . This may not be my home town, but it's as close as I'm gonna get, so I'll be posting here quite a bit.

No problems I'm going to fiddle with the board code so the board style doesn't switch with every new screen. I'll do that tonight or Sunday hopefully.

Create your own damn banner whenever you want. Technically you're supposed to be official first, but if you make one I'll put it up.

Best as I can figure, we'll start planning our first meeting mid-to end next week, give folks some time to find us.

 

To be official you need:
*three meetings
*at least three seperate people posting on here (ie no socks)
*to choose a CR at the last meeting or on the boards here

After that I will deem you official and give your CR pretty blue colors.

 

Dibs on CR because I have the most experience.

So I suppose I should start being CR-ish now.

VoijaRisa, DO NOT take dibs on CR. Nikana stepped up and got this started, she is CR for Springfield. Please DO NOT try to make this a power struggle. All who join will have input and all ideas will be heard and considered as to how our chapter is run.

 

Slow down everyone. You have to have a few meetings under your belt before you decide on a CR and typically they are done by vote. Candadites are chosen and voted upon unless a common consensous has been reached at a meeting.

No one one get "dibs" because they know more about FanForce, have more experience or decided to speak up about the chapter. It's something the group decides as a whole.

Anyway!!

I'll be making up a flyer and bringing copies to a few places around town to get us a little exposure. I've also posted on the 501st boards letting them know we are here.

 

Are you a member of the 501st? Or just a member of their boards? Either way, I think I looked through the 501st before and didn't see any members from Springfield, so I don't know if that's going to draw us many people.

 

Nope, not a member...but I believe there are some in the Springfield area. At least those Stormtroopers I talked to said they were 501st...maybe they were undercover Rebels...

 

I know there were 3 stormtroopers at Visioncon as well as a division of the R2 builders Yahoo group, but I'm not sure if they were local or came to our yearly geekfest.

And I'm hoping to become a 501st member eventually. My Vader costume isn't bad, but the helmet isn't up to snuff.
