Are you kidding me??!!?? I somehow missed that airlines now charge you to check bags. This will make the madness of oversized rollies in bins even worse! Good going corporate greed. I would be much more in favor of charging per carry-on.

I heard about that the other day. Oh how much more fun it will be for people flying to conventions with at least 2 (if not 3 or 4) bags to check in for costumes and whatz notz.

 

The charge seems to vary by airline, with Delta only charging $25 per bag up to US Airways hitting you for $50. Although, I was on a completely booked cross-country flight into Orlando this morning and there was excess space in the overhead compartments. Maybe it was just a lot of business guys that checked everything, but most people just had a single backpack to carry on.

I think there might be wisdom in checking with UPS. I had stuff to bring with me and 4-day ground wasn't that bad, especially with the airlines changing extra for anything over 50 pounds and my stuff was pretty heavy.

 

Three more days and counting....

It's like a jungle in my pants right now. Seriously, who ordered all the humidity? My meat and two veggie are swimming in gravy. **** Florida, I can't wait to get back to the desert.
