What are your thoughts on the term "spic and span"?

Personally, I find it a bit racist.

I think it's racist that Geordi had to wait until Season Two to be promoted to Chief Engineer.

 

They made up for Geordi with an Affirmative Action program that promoted Ben Sisko. Can't we think of the positives, people?

 

I'm sure better qualified white engineers and space station commanders were passed up in favor of those two.

I know for a fact that Riker was kept on the Enterprise for too long. Word on the grapevine is that he applied for the DS9 position and was invited to interview. When he turned up for the interview however, Starfleet paid (yes, paid) a particularly old Admiral to fall as he passed Riker in a corridor and break his hip. Riker never made it to the inteview, spending the rest of the day in A&E making sure he old man was alright.

 

Well that's just a bunch of crap! It's reverse discrimination!!1!elevntyOn3!11!

And don't even get me started on Picard always dismissing Worf's suggestion to raise shields.

 

And how come all the aliens are always the same race? Ever seen a white Klingon? A dark-skinned Romulan? I'm telling you, man! They're trying to tell us something!
