So! Any new stuff? What's going on? I'm at work on Independence Day.

not much here, just getting the house ready for some guests that are coming over later and getting ready to go BBQ at my mom's. what's new with you?

 

Uh, not too much. I'm at work. I'll be shooting the fireworks in another hour or so.

I'm also covered in dried sweat BECAUSE IT'S HOTTER THAN THE DAMN SUN OUTSIDE.

 

I'm cleaning my keyboard.

I'm just sitting around right now. My entire family has mysteriously disappeard so I've got nothing to do. Maybe I'll go play with my doggies!

 

I'm going to the pub in *checks watch* 88 minutes.

 

Errr... I'm just sitting here actually rather hungry (I suppose I should make something for dinner soon)... listening to firecrackers go off further down my street. So in other words, nothing much.

just got back from the bbq at mom's, now just waiting for my friends to get back. they already set up their tent in my back yard, wonder where they got off to...

 

Ohh a tent! Fun!

 

yeah, it's pretty cool. one of my old buddies from high school is in town for the holiday weekend with his wife and two daughters. they wanted to try out their new tent so they set it up in the back yard. the only crappy thing is that it's super windy here, i hope they don't blow over in the middle of the night. it looks pretty sturdy though.

 

I'm still cleaning my keyboard. I'm a nerd and take apart all the keys. heh.

 

Whoa, a Herculean job. I never do that. I just water it along with the plants.

i usually end up spilling something in mine that requires me to get a new one before i ever have to clean it.

yeah, you'd think i'd learn my lesson at some point but there's really no accounting for freak, random accidents.

I think I'm going to go murder the children down the street now. They assumed no one was home so they went up to our gate and started setting off fireworks to annoy our dogs in the back. They succeeded. My husky and my dalmation/great dane mix jumped against the gate so hard, they got out. I went running after them and forgot to shut the door all the way. My two smaller dogs heard the commotion and decided to join the fun so I had to catch all four.

 

What a bunch of little bastards!!

 

Speewy: That's when you take a firecracker, grab the kids, shove it up you-know-where and light it. That'll teach the little bastards.

That's excellent advice! Actually their parents saw them and confiscated all their fireworks. Their dad then dumped them all in the bathtub and soaked 'em. HA! NO HAPPY 4TH OF JULY FOR THEM!
