Why can't we have a "goodbye" thread?

I mean really? Why couldn't I just say goodbye? I'd like to write some stories for the JCC, and would confine it to that thread alone, why lock it? I'm not leaving just yet. Lock it after I leave. Besides its also a story thread. Why can't I have it?


If you have a complaint about a mod action, please take it up in private with that mod or one of the admins.

 

Some people used goodbye threads in an attempt to grab the attention of the JCC, just to get some empathy and then never reallt left. It became a widespread problem so they were eventually considered to be another kind of spam and subsequently banned. Not saying it's your case, not saying it isn't either.

If you want to say goodbye to your fellow posters, you can change your sig. You can also PM the people you consider your friends. If it's fiction what you want to post, the JCC doesn't really work like that buy hey, feel free to start a thread: try to have some fiction ready first, though; that would help.

You can't have a goodbye thread because 1.) you're not awesome enough (and people who are awesome and loved enough around here do get the option of having an unlocked goodbye thread, that's been my observation over the years) and 2.) you'll probably be back, like 94.65% of all other people who have ever attempted to leave this place, including yours truly.

 

If I have to delete my profile, then that's what I'll do. But my goodbye to me is sincere.

 

You can't delete your profile... there's a weekly thread on it.

ive always had a morbid fascination of imagining my funeral, and just people sucking up to me.
