Will Darth Vader Wield his Lightsaber in Episode IV?

He didn't even have a lightsaber in Episode 3. I bet he'll just go around choking people like he did with Padme (that was really cool. I hope he does it a lot in the new movie).

 

Yeah he doesn't have one anymore. I think he will get his armor updraded with a shoulder-cannon and he might even be able to transform into a starfighter.

 

Darth Vader's a stupid character. He should've been killed off.

 

Yes, he'll probably have a red one. He'll use it on any troopers that don't obey him immediately and some jedi.

 

No, he'll have lightsaber beams come outof his arms.

Vader will likely learn how to fling Force lightning at some point and skip that whole choking and slashing for the fine art of deep-frying...

 

Vader will just headbut all his enemies. That helmet looks like it has a pretty solid surface.

Well he is going to be the main sith in the film and their has to be a duel soo...

 

He may have kept Dooku's lightsaber, so he'll probably use it for this trilogy. Obi-Wan may have kept half of Darth Maul's lightsaber, so maybe they'll duel with red blades in Episode 6?

 

I want to see him kick some butt in this one. He's supposed to be the Chosen One - or is he still? Hmmm... - so he has to DO something. I think he ought to have a red one and use it to cut Yoda into tiny pieces. That would be a fight... Maybe he and Sidious could attack Yoda togheter. I was rather hoping we'd get to see the two Sith fight side by side in the last movie, but alas. Still, there is hope!

 

No. We don't even know if he can wield one yet. I wonder if his artificial limbs will make it impossible to fight with a lightsaber?

Any idea how cloesly this movie with follow what's been established in the post-ROTS novels, like Dark Lord? Vader has a lightsaber there, apparently closely resembling his old one, but red. Of course, we know that GL usually ignores EU whenever he feels like it.

 

He has to,and I suspect his dueling skills will be at an all time high
