Very nice, if that's all modeling then your doing really good, But the cockpit shape looks a bit strange, are you sure a person can fit in there?

 

Looks great, i like the detail that u made,did u use a bunch of boleans,or did u do something eles? But i have to ask.why dont you just use one of the previous models from the site? there about 3 of them to choose from i think.but again great modeling,keep it up.

bobabert, how come you never show us any of your finished projects before you start another WIP? (i.e. look a few threads down at old town coruscant, and also there was a rebel control room earlier this year) i'm just wondering.

 

This WIP will be finished because it's a big project for me.The others was a good training and one day I'll finish them...

1. How long did it take to render that image?

2. Did Brazil have to initiallize the ray server?

I'm just wondering because I have Brazil and it would take the longest time to setup the ray server and I'm not sure it needs to.

By the way, good texturing, fast too.

 

Nice texturing. Actually, I don't know if you're try to match to the "real" one, but, the blue strip looks to thin. That's not a problem for me, you're probably doing your own version for your project.

Yeah Brazil initialise the ray server for each render. I'm not a specialist with brazil, but I think there are several reasons why it takes long : Did you use brazil matérials and brazil lights? they are otimized for brazil render, and look better. And so you have a lot of object in your scene.
It also take a long time with me when there are many object, but the render itself is even longer

 

En fait j'ai une vieille photo de x_wing de ILM qui vient d'un vieux "Mad Movies" avec des bandes bleu qui doit correspondre à un autre grade dans l'Alliance et c'était justement ce qu'il me fallait...

Je vois de quelle photo il s'agit, c'est celle ou on le voit d'en dessous. J'ai la même dans un vieux SFX, pareils avec les bandes bleues. Mais c'était juste de l'épaisseur dont je parlais, elle devrait pas être plus large?

 

yes t'as p'et raison pour la bande, de toute façon je suis en train de refaire tout le mapping avec develloper uvw c le gros bordel depuis 2 jours mais ça avance j'ai enfin compris comment ça fonctionne lol!!( po trop tôt!!)

Jones: Says he has a similar photo from a SFX [magazine?] that has blue bands and wonders if they should be broader or not.

Bobabert: Is working with a UVW thing and is remaking the mapping for the model, and is understanding functions of this UVW thing better now...or something like that..."LOL"
