Well, the Dagobah theory got shot down when I was reminded that he lost his saber in the Senate building when he was fighting Palpatine.

 

Sorry for the disappointment, but we fans have to face the facts!

 

He could have made a new one that nobody saw.

This is true: lots of time to construct a new lightsabre on Dagobah. When you are the only sapient on a world you have a lot of time to yourself. It would have been a simple matter for him to pack a few magick crystals and other lightsabre parts with his things before he took off for exile.

Wait: didn't Yoda have to deal with a darkling assassin during his exile on Dagobah? Yoda had to kill the guy and his darkside bad vibes infected the cave where later, in ESB, Luke Skywalker had to face down the spectre of Daddy, foreshadowing his real-time battle at the climax of the movie? Unless Yoda wrenched the assassin's lightsabre from his hand and ran him through with his own weapon (which would have been very cool and very Yoda) he would have had to have had a lightsabre on him.

True, you don't see a lightsabre on Yoda in ESB. However, he might not have worn it anymore, but had it stashed somewhere.

you forgettin the fact he lost it when the emperor smacked him in the senate arena. he did not grab it.

so he would have either snatched one from someplace else or, made a new one. but we never see one in ESB.

 

Um, I think you lost the fact that people were making these same points in the previous posts, Lan.

 

I think we've pretty much covered all the possible things that could've happened to Yoda's lightsaber.

 

yes, i do know and didnt lose track of the fact, but if you read right after like i did, folks are still claiming this and that about the saber, i was simply reminding them.

I'm still wondering about that shirt. Why Yoda's saber and a blue blade? My guess is that whoever made it thought it was Anakin's saber and just got confused.
