Interrogation Cell 13/-7

Si decided that he hated Chistori. He was the half-brother of a Jedi. You couldn't expect him to follow their Code as well. He shivered, soaked, and blinked rapidly, the guttural lizard voice agitating his nerves. Barely conscious, Si had been asked questions about 'Him'. Always him. As if Si was psychic, or something.

The Chistori always introduced himself, pleasantly. Dispassionately, the Professor would have said, correcting Si. Si, of course, had entirely forgotten whatever Vur had said, or he'd thought, over the next hour. Pain, oh, so much pain. Nails under his skin, teeth sinking in his neck. Si writhed, and Vur, he could tell, enjoyed every moment. Drugs still swimming through his system, Si was hit by a new smell, above the unpleasant ones that he'd created, and the drugs and the spices and the Chistori hormones, Vur deriving some sick pleasure Si, as an archaeologist first and foremost, would never understand.

Ozone.

Blaster discharge.

Si's mind seemed to recover sufficiently for it to become sarcastic. Asking about Xenly is simply not a good career prospect. Let's not do it again? But his mind was sharpening, as if he realised that this was probably it. It being his sole chance to escape. Adrenaline had been drained from him, or so he thought, and Si felt his body react, his body hardly in the best shape - he was a student, not a soldier. And then he was free - completely unexpectedly, and Si was falling forward, towards the table. His hands rushed up, braced him, and Sae grabbed the table as he slid under it.

The table was low, and thus as he shirked under it - part in freefall, part hiding - he pushed it up, and, tripping over his feet, he pushed forward, inadvertedly throwing the table - covered with poisons and knifes and too many horrors for him to comprehend - at Vur, Si's body weight not particularly large, but the weapons we sharp enough. Si ended up leaning on the table as it neared Vur.

Above Gesaril

Lt. Zeth Tak'n cursed under his breath as he watched the four TIE-Predators break towards the Rancor.

"Z, (in reference to his R9 unit) how long until those TIE's are a threat to the barge?" Zeth asked in a rush. After a moment Z sent a reply across his HUD. "Sithspawn!" Zeth swore to himself, "Sabre 2, on me" He commanded into his mic.

"As ordered commander." Came Talia's reply.

The flight commander rolled his X-83 towards the threatening TIE's, Sabre 2 followed his lead instinctively, keeping a safe distance from his star fighter. "Z plot a course to intercept the predators before they are in firing range of the barge, and switch all extra power to front deflector screens." instructed the Lt. Once the course popped on his HUD Zeth pushed to his max speed of 1,200 Km/Hr.

"Talia, get a proton lock on the eyeball bringing up the rear of the group, and I'll head off the one leading the charge."

Yes sir!

As the X-83 approached the two pairs of eyeballs, Zeth began slowing down his fighter, and focused his targetting system on the lead TIE. As soon as the he had a lock he pulled the trigger, sending a pair of proton torpedos rocketing towards the lead predator. He didn't watch to see if they were avoided, instead he switched to TIE following behind, and unleashed a volley of laser fire. He watched helplessly as the blast bounced of his opponents deflector shields.

He flew past his most recent target, "Z, even out the power to my shields, I don't want to be shot in the back, because I didn't get this guy on my first pass."

Torpedos away! Lt. Tak'n heard sabre 2 through his helmet, as he turned his ship to face the group of TIE's once again.

Gesaril Asteroid Complex

Space

Another wave of explosions brought light to the dark of space, as various targets were hit. It became obvious, that the Resistance had to few fighters to gain air-superiority. And without at least another capital ship, the Nebulon-G had to concentrate on the well-shielded Asteroid. Which would make it impossible for her to deal with the deadliest danger for it´s fighter escort, the Lancer-Frigate.

The Sunlight Ranger and the massive Asteroid exchanged rapid fire. Both had powerful turbolaser batteries, but unless the Asteroids shields went down it was only a matter of time before the Ranger would be overwhelmed by the station. TIE-Predators were now everywhere. They swarmed out of both hangars of the station as if they had waited for an attack. Soon they would be able to shield their homebase.
____________________

Captain Lerner sighed as he saw the tight of battle now turning and considered his options. The Nebulon-G had two powerful capital-scale torpedoes, but he needed to wait for them. Until at least the point defense of the station would weaken. "All transports, near the battlefield and give fire-support. Repeat, fire-support, needed." He yelled and the shield of his ship went down to 85% efficiency.
"Sabre Four requesting backup. Repeat, Sabre Four is requesting fire support against Lancer-class frigate over." That was Max and his new Wingman, the Aqualish. "Keep ´em busy Max, just keep them busy until Black-Leader has delivered his package."

Lerner replied. And looked at the tactical display. The smaller lancer-frigate had been refitted with a bay, strangely. He saw that Max had made good use of that, as the opening in its left-side exploded in brilliant white. Five of it´s flak-canons died off, immediately. His Wingman was less lucky, but his torpedoes had some impact. Enough to concentrate fire on him. Lerner was afraid, the boy wouldn´t make it. But for now Kassaun returned to his wingman. A pair of Predators were on their way to them, but nothing could be done about that. Before the Predator´s would arrive, they would have another attack run.

"Rancor here, Predators in range, repeat we are under fire!" He turned his head to another display. Sabre-Leader Zeth Tak?n had made his first run and distracted them. Two of them had broken away and now were about to frontal attack Sabre-Leader. Who was alone, for his partner, the over-motivated Talia had stayed with the targets.
"Sabre-Two, I am on it. Bastards won´t be here for long!" Talia commed. Pouring out fire out of her small X83 as if it was a spacedemon. One of the two Predators exploded under her fire, leaving only three attackers on the Rancor. Of which two were in a dogfight against his Squadron Leader. Three against two. Lerner had to trust his pilots were better than theirs. Otherwise the numbers would be to depressing. And with half their command-team on board that station, retreat was not an option.
"How long until Black Squadron reaches . . .?"
His question was answered as Commander Nirooth Vayland began counting on his frequency. "Impact in 3 . . . 2 . . . !" In anticipation Lerner leaned forward. Black Squadron needed to hit the Station hard, while they still could.

In the background the com-channels spit out the chatter of a desperate battle. "Sabre-10 down, repeat, they got Morlin!" "He is on my back, he is on my . . .!" "Request support, repeat, request support!" "Got two down, heading for their leader." "Kraw´un wait, two on your back." " - . . . imperial station gesaril, hold your fire and prepare to surrender . . . -" "Black One, torpedo away." "Away." "Black leader, torpedo away."

Lorj Danathin
-Prison

Lorj moved into position and thought back to when there was a more peaceful time. A time when he had not had to worry about killing or being killed, just a peaceful living on the farm and trying to make every day better than the last one. But his Lords had written out different destinies for him and none of them had kept him on his peaceful planet, farming. No, the small sector inhabitant had been thrown into epic, galactic destructive wars, far from against his will. Bad foresight, his dad had always said he had bad foresight.

Gotta work on that, Lorj. The reptilian thought to himself as he followed Cole's order and joined the left guard instead of the back. The Murachaun knelt down on one knee and raised his rifle in the darkness. He could probably take out three of the helmets before any retaliation could be ordered, but he would wait until he had received the order. No reason blasting if blasting was not the best option. Though, he really did not see an alternative showing its head out of any random hole.

Lorj was a not a cold blooded, crazed, maniacal killer and killed for his pleasure. It was more of a habit or a hobby since he had joined the war effort and he did not put any philosophical delaying thoughts into his head on whether what he was doing was good or not. His Lords knew his soul and had placed him on this path for him to cast his mind's light into the darkness and do what he thought necessary. It just happened that killing was the easy solution in most cases and it was hard to refrain from it when you were fighting guys who actually said "You'll have to kill me first."

To which Lorj would often reply with a bolt to the face.

IC: Tenk Qatar
Gesaril, Awakening Chamber 1-1

The weird mini-droid that had been on his head, destroyed. The trooper he had rammed into, done. Rasiah, out as well with the shots that she was firing ineffective. The exit of the chamber...

With a painful crash, Tenk realized was blocked. Damn.

Recovering, Tenk was only able to stare at the energy field that had just been brought back up. That wasn't the only problem, however, as when the former Jedi stared at the energy field, he was able to see a face behind it, smiling at him. Darth Regentis.

But not the face that he last remembered. Tenk actually blinked, not from surprise, but from momentary confusion. Since Tenk's defeat, the Jedi Hunter seemed older with a scar on his face and an artificial eye. And the suit...

"There is nowhere to run. And despite that, what would you do out here? Without the force? And it won´t come back for several hours. Considering what doses of drugs amateurish Rasiah has pulled into your system."

Tenk didn't really have a chance to reply, having suddenly wondered if he he had been out for far longer then he had thought. Regentis's sudden change in appearance, the intense cold that he was feeling...had he been frozen? He only managed to think the question before agony suddenly took hold of his body.

The Force wasn't a Jedi's only power. To allow Jedi to draw on the Force and use it so effectively, they had to train not only their connection to it, but their mind and body as well. A stronger connection to the Force was one result, but also a developed mind and body that surpassed that of a normal being's physical and mental standards. Such standards could also offer a person to be not so easily burdened with pain or other crippling effects. Even after leaving the Order, Tenk hadn't slacked off in such training and actually focused more into it to further help develop his connection to the Force.

Still...this kind of hurt.

His body wasn't at it's prime, what from not only the possible cryo-stasis but also from whatever drugs that Regentis just informed him had been injected into him. So when the trooper decided to use his toy, Tenk was lucky to at least stop himself from screaming. A growl had been all that came from him when the scream wanted to burst from his lips. His legs buckled, and Tenk was only able to thrust his arms out in front of him to stop him from crashing headfirst into the floor. And all he could do was stay on his hands and knees, keeping his mouth shut as the pain continuously coursed through his body.

Could be worse, he was able to hear his own thoughts amidst the pain. Talia could've been here and suffering through the same thing.

The thought of his wife having been spared this made the pain a bit more bearable. He had told her to go, far away from their current residence when the Jedi Hunter came after him and he went to face him. She had done so, she had been truthful. So she was nowhere near here...wherever here was anyway.

Lizard angry.

That was the only thought Si managed before he connected with the wall, the fire of pain causing him to temporarily lose consciousness. With a groan, he tried to find himself in the haze, completely overwhelmed. "You little bug, what do you think you are?"

Si couldn't respond. The Chistori Vun stormed over, roaring, and then, suddenly, he stopped. Si blinked away pain and confusion, as Vun clawed at his face. Si blinked, and knew, in his heart of hearts, that he had to act. Now.

He launched forward, reaching for Vun's blaster rifle. He had no idea what he would do with it. Stun him, he hoped.

The Pretender didn´t fall for her trick. Not at all. She knew he wanted to kill her. But he knew she needed him to do it, too. And he knew that was her weak point. She had revealed her wishes to the Sith. Now he would use them against her.

"I will have you rott in this whole until you break. I´ll have you bath in darkness and anger, before I give you something to play with. I let darkness consume you and pain, and suffering and eternal torment. Year after year after year after year . . . unless you give me what I want! TELL ME, Kira, TELL ME!"

She felt her body tense to the point of breaking. They could do that. They could keep her here forever. An object of study for generations of Sith to come. The horror of that vision made her wish to die only stronger.

"Tell me where he is! Where is Darth Atavus, Kira? WHERE IS HE!?"

She wanted to tell him. But she couldn´t. Why didn´t they ask her another question. Any other?

"I don´t know. I really don´t know. He was . . . gone. Please . . . please . . . " She mumbled. Unsure what to say anymore. She tried to withdraw from the force, but it was to late. The face of her interrogator, the false Darth Zorn, showed that he could feel her despair. And was feeding on it.

The Sith´s strength comes from fear.

Again somebody else voice.

Who are you?

Strength through fear. Like she grew stronger when adrenaline rushed into her, when she was in danger. They weren´t so different. But nothing like her.

"Copy that Sabre Four, Sabre Five has tactical lead."

*Behind his stylized helmet Max grinned, even while his shields took another glancing blow from the pair of Predators behind them.
Already he had chased away two more fighters that tried to settle in between the Y-Flier and the X-83, not going for the kill but keeping his wingman safe.

A stacatto stream of chirps and warbles tickled his ears and the display in front of him lit up with a message from the hardwired astromech droid, the same kind of message that it had been trying to get across to him since the start of the engagement.*

"Son of a Kath Hound, I KNOW there are fighters behind us! Unless there is some way you can convince the idiots to deal with this Lancer, we're stuck for it!"

*Max shook his head and hauled the fighter over to match the violent turn Kassaun had made, all the while cursing naval offices and their ilk in his mind*

Stupid hinge-heads. I would have been promoted to Wing Commander by now were I dumber. But no, I'm the smart one and the one with experience, so that means I don't get promoted. Apparently its cheating if none of the starfighter corps dies in any engagement.

Why can't they promote people that only equal the few good fleet officers, like Akbar, or Ibis, even Stazi could have planned this better than whichever idiot flung a couple of fighters against an anti-starfighter ship.

Idiots one and all. We're all going to die here because of it.

*His thoughts were interrupted by his wingmates call*

"Sabre Five to Sabre Four, making the attack run, don't let me die!"

*The violent turns had brought the two in a head-on vector with the Lancer, going for either the computer controls or the main bridge. The Aqualish was going for a head on pass, scary for any pilot, but he earned a lot of respect from Max in that moment*

"Don't worry about your tail Sabre Five, take that Space-Ugly down!"

*The fighters hurtled onward, leaving their Predator pursuers behind with their higher top speed. Once again the gap between the fighters and the frigate closed rapidly. They soon passed the point where Max would have fired and broken away, yet the Aqualish kept on charging.

A full five seconds passed before Sabre Five fired off three torpedoes, leaving himself just one for a last pass.
However more pressingly, there was no way for them to retain the velocity that they had achieved and hope to break away from the pass. They would have to reduce power at the very least, probably hit the retros as well.*

"Sabre Five break hard low! That is an order!"

*Weather it was his order or his natural timidness winning out was anybodys guess, but Kassaun started to pull up and away. It was enough to change his vector when the quad laser cannons found a hole in his shields somehow, turning the modified Y-wing into a newly formed comet.

Had the cannons caught him while he was on his original course, the fighter would surely have plowed into the front of the frigate, doing what would have most likely been fatal damage. As it was the wreckage spiraled to the side and slammed into the deflector shield projector.

With a guttural bellow, some drastic thrust control and a hard yank back on the controls, Maxs' X-83 skimmed over the top of the Lancer, never firing his cannons for sheer survival instinct.

After pulling up and away, he realized that the two Predators were still on his tail, the bolts of green flashing by his canopy and his rear deflector warning indicator being the primary clues. With his wingman gone and a coming swarm of Predators to deal with, Max decided there were some plans that had to be ignored*

"Kark this idiots job!"

*And with that Max simultaneously banked the X-83 to the left and reversed thrust entirely, stopping the Twintail almost instantly in relation to the pursuing predator fighters.
He got half of a swear out before the force of being thrown against his crash webbing drove the breath out of him and rendered his field

Section 13 entrance corridor

The Cathar commando had already taken up a kneeling position just slightly ahead of the rest of his team, his silenced slugthrower carbine pointed down the corridor. He quickly evaluated their situation. First, this corridor was a death trap, and if any adversaries caught them in there, especially a Sith, the chances of his and his team's survival would be slim. Second, they needed to get out of the damn corridor, now.

He only entertained thoughts of the danger of this mission briefly. He was too professional to let that interfere with him being mentally "in the game," but the fact that the mission was as dangerous as it was continued to nag at him. Then the door at the end of the corridor opened, revealing the stormtroopers, and erasing all other thoughts and focus. He heard Cole asking for the orders of the Colonel. What a time to ask for anything. There were time during battle when you had to act first and think later. This was one of them.

His hands quickly left his weapon, letting the sling take all the weight, and reached for one of the three frag grenades at his side. Arming it, he threw it as close as he could right into the group of stormtroopers. Picking his carbine back up, he began sending three-round bursts towards the stormtroopers as well, the silenced slugthrower eerily producing no flash and no sound.

Now it was time to answer Cole, actually, to tell the whole team what to do.

"Fire!"

He waited taking aim and the seconds seemed endless. The Colonel still kept silent, when he heard the metalic sound of a grenade hitting the floor. He smiled. U´tek he assumed. The Cathar was always offensive. That had survived in the game for so long, prooved him right. Survivors where always right. Because you weren´t meant to survive frak like this.
And they had both served long enough to see the danger of this corridor. The Empire had put some thought into the facility. No doubt.

He trusted U´tek in this and his finger began pressing the trigger, slowly.
"Fire." The Cathars raspy voice shouted then and before the word reached the Stormtroopers the one who had installed the field-generator was dead. The first shot Jacen waited for the moment the grenade went of. He would kill everybody surviving it on his half of the corridor, once it did. And he was sure Lorj wouldn´t fail to kill those in the other.

The Pretender felt Kira Romar´s emotions and vivisected every one of them, like the corpse of a prey he had hunted down. She feared so much. Such rich pain. Such sweet suffering.

"I hope for you, that you´re lying. Because if you are not, there won´t be any redemption for you . . . in a very long time. A very, very long time." The Interrogator grinned. Then he turned to the alarm which had been sounding all along. Ignored by the two parties of the interrogation. "What is it?" He belled into his com. The same moment the door opened, revealing two dark armored Stormtroopers and in their midst a red-faced man.

"My lad . . ." The newcomer obviously realized his lapse before the sentence was brought to an end. "We are under attack. Possible intruders on this level." He ended his sentence.

"Fool!" The Interrogator only replied and stormed past him. "Guards here. She has to be relocated with the other priorities and defended at any cost. And you, Lord Erebus, take care of these intruders. Hopefully your saber is sharper than your mind." The Interrogator said and left. With a wave of the hand he opened the second door and stormed out.

"Yes, Master." Darth Erebus replied and nodded to the Commandos. "Take her to the shuttle. Defend her at any cost." Then he himself hurled away, to meet the intruders.

Vun screamed as he fell to his knees. His pain had pushed all thoughts of his prisoner out of his head. "GUARD! AAAAARRRGHH!" He crawled through his equipment, now scattered all around him. He by-passed his blaster, pushing it to the side as he searched for something else. It landed not to far away from Si Kya, who had reached out for it. Just as the young man lifted it up, he saw the door opening and two stormtroopers entering. Wearing white armor with atypical black shoulder-parts, they were obviously surprised to face such chaos. Surprised enough not to understand the danger they were in. "Sir?" Was their only response.

Vun had finally found something. He opened another bottle he had used before on Si and emptied it on the left side of his face, screaming in pain, as the acid burnt away his skin and the bugs housed in it. The pain made him finally collapse.

Awakening Chamber

"More, give him more!" Rasiah yelled hysterical, as the trooper fired on Tenk again and again. But Darth Regentis raised his hand. "Enough." He whispered and immediately the Stormtrooper ended his assault. His partner now at his side.

"But Master, he has tried to kill me!" Rasiah yelled. The Jedi Hunter only laughed a grim, short burst of amusement.
"If he had, you would be dead. Thanks to your lack of preparation and overestimation of your limited skills. If one would wish to call them that." Rasiah fell silent, bowing and retreating behind her two troopers. the soldiers had performed a lot better than she had.

Regentis looked up at the alarm again and sighed.

"The Dark Lady wants him to be moved. Prepare his transport to the hangar-bay. And Rasiah, do it without failure, this time. Or you will be the next training subject." He said and turned away. Before leaving, he turned a last time towards Tenk Qatar. "And have no hope Jedi. This prison is well defended. Whoever has come to free you, whoever caused this alarm . . . will die. For you." He grinned and departed.

Raisah ordered her troopers to get him into one of the gray prisoner-overalls. Their guns not leaving him, now they obeyed.

And out of a sudden a surge of the force rushed into Tenk. Only a short moment. A flash.

Awakening Chamber

The pain stopped and Tenk just allowed his head to fully drop down and press against the floor, the cool temperature suddenly a good thing. Nothing like having every nerve in his body light up on fire because of the extreme dosages of pain to help warm him up. He just laid there on the floor for the moment, allowing his mouth to open after the battle to keep the scream at bay had passed so that he could regain air into his lungs. Despite liking the rest, he still listened to the conversation that was going on around him.

"The Dark Lady wants him to be moved. Prepare his transport to the hangar-bay."

The Dark Lady? Who was that? He knew of the new Dark Lord of the Sith known as Krayt but he didn't know a Sith known as The Dark Lady. Then again, he had been too busy trying to get away from the Sith and hide from them to know all of it's members.

Those questions took a back seat when Regentis spoke again with something that Tenk was much more interested in.

"And have no hope Jedi. This prison is well defended. Whoever has come to free you, whoever caused this alarm . . . will die. For you."

With his attempt at escape, Tenk had forgotten that intruders had been mentioned. Now he remembered, having heard the alarm, having heard the word "Intruders" spoken before he had tried and failed to escape from the chamber. Who could the intruders be? Probably some resistance group. He heard that remnants of the Galactic Alliance were still trying to strike back at the Sith. The obvious reason that he could think of was that they were coming here to free prisoners. Actually, with the weaponry that the Stormtroopers were carrying, the cryo technology that they apparently had here, the drugs, and there being a few Sith here, could it be that this was some kind of prison for Jedi?

He was still mulling over the newfound idea, barely paying attention to Rasiah ordering some overalls to be given to him, when the Force came back to him.

Jedi. Here were Jedi. And the deadly cold of hundreds of death in these halls. And Talia. He felt Talia.

Tenk's green eye widened, feeling the bond that he had developed with his wife so many years ago. It appeared for an instant, then it was gone, but that was all that Tenk had needed. He could never forget the presence of Talia, could recognize it in the instant that it appeared.

She's....here? Tenk questioned, unable to understand. Why? I told her to hide. Why was she here?

Cause she's Talia you fool.

Yes, it was Talia. Tenk hadn't been the only stubborn individual during the war. Despite it being five years that trait hadn't been extinguished from either of them during the five years that they tried to find peace together. It was one of the many things that he had come to love about her...and right now he was hating it. He couldn't deny the fact, however, that he would be doing the same thing if their situations had been switched. Then again...he had done it in the past.

A gray overall was dropped on the floor next to him, causing Tenk to glance at the sudden appearance of the garment. Slowly, almost to overexaggerated slowness, to feign weakness at his painful treatment, the former Jedi grabbed the overalls and slowly slipped into them. Tenk had to hold himself back from going fast despite the situation. He needed to think that he had been weakened severely, that the cryo-stasis, the drugs, and those weapons that the troopers used on him had did their thing.

That was a lie of course. With that brief connection with the Force, Tenk had felt some of his strength return. While pulling on the overalls - his back to the three behind him -, Tenk focused. He focused on separating his mind from the lingering pain that still had his body, wanting to be separated from distractions. He had been connected to the Force, if only for a moment, and now he focused on trying to regain it. He thought of Talia, of the special bond of love that could only be

"Sithspawn!" Zeth yelled when he realized that he hadn't managed to take out either of his targets. "Sabre 2, stay on the wingman of the TIE you just destroyed, I'll be fine for the time being." Sabre 1 commed to Talia.

"As ordered, Sabre 1." came the female pilot's response.

Zeth turned back towards the two predators that he had crossed in front of a few moments earlier. "Boost my front shields Z," ordered the zabrak. By now both ties were flying towards him, one staggered slightly behind, up, and to the left of the leader. Zeth switched his laser to quad blast, which caused all for blasters to fire at one time. Once he was within range, he centered the leader in his crosshairs, and squeezed off two shots of his quad blast, hoping they would crush the predator's shields Zeth then switched his lasers back to burst, and unleashed a massive volley of laser fire, which he anticipated would rip through the unprotected TIE.

While, this was happening the TIE's were sending there own volleys of laser fire towards the Lt. His shields took the first few volleys, but then Z screamed a warning that his shields were low. "Fierfek!" Zeth cursed under his breath. "Z boost the shields back up with power from the lasers." He ordered, while rolling to his right, and below the hopefully, to put, the now dead, lead TIE between him and the predator's wingman.

I'm assuming that we have the freedom to disband this group of unlucky and surprised Imperials on our own, since the GM stated we could enter after doing so.

Lorj Danathin
-Prison

Lorj had only fired one shot, but that had been enough since his teammates were attacking without mercy and the number of the obvious enemies dwindled to one lonely soul standing in the middle of the aisle. The stormtrooper had a heavy repeating blaster and was firing all around them, keeping his allies at bay and behind cover. Blaster bolts were nearing Lorj in a line, so he ducked down from his one knee kneel and onto his belly, taking aim.

He turned to U'tek and saw his two would be attackers approaching swiftly. Lorj blasted a shot into a trooper's chest. He then turned his attention to the trooper with the repeating blaster. The pack on his back was an obvious movement disability. Lorj raised his rifle to the trooper's helmet and fired.

The next thing he would be looking at would be a stormtrooper helmet with a huge hole in it.

Lorj rose to his feet and sped across the opening, picking up a dead stormtrooper's blaster. His sniper rifle was powerful, but long and hard to move with. Tucking his rifle on his back, he raised the Imperial blaster with both hands and began firing cover fire as he himself backed up into the entrance.

There was no sense in attacking the Imperials behind the shield generator. The generator, he guessed, was meant to seal off the corridor that was now wide open.

Kira Romar

"I hope for you, that you´re lying. Because if you are not, there won´t be any redemption for you . . . in a very long time. A very, very long time."
The Pretender hissed. She stared at him. The voice and his ability to name her greatest fear made her realize how close she was now. To breaking. To give up any resistance. From htere out would be only one more small step into the dark to be eternally embraced by it.

Another Sith appeared. Escorted by what appeared to be Commando-Troopers of the Empire. "My lad . . .!" The man cut of his sentnece in the midst. Frustrated the Interrogator yelled commands at him. Intruder.

Has he almost said my lady? It is a she. Through her pain and despair, she saw the angry reaction of her Interrogator and found some strength in it. She had been broken long ago. She simply did not have the answers, they demanded. Now she could only die before falling.

Intruder. Was someone coming? For her? She tried to reach out with the force, but found it difficutl. But death and fear was all around theis place. More than any torture facility could create. A battle. Outside this place a battle was raging.

The Interrogator
, a she, as Kira knew now, left and the other Sith rushed away. Leaving to troopers with her alone. Adrenaline rushed into her body. Her aching muscles tensed, as they neared her. Holding their strange guns and circling her.

Kira, concentrate.
She felt her need to break free. To kill someone. To get out of here. To run.

You must save him. The other voice whispered again. Save him? Save who? She ignored it. Sche ignored everything, instead she tensed her body, prepared for her release and felt the force again. Flowing into her like a violent storm.

Always been there, waiting to be my ally. In battle, right? Only in the face of death you are mine. Where were you?

The two commandos hesitated. They felt it. They knew she would fight.

Jacen Cole
Prison Entrance, Gesaril Asteroid Complex

Once the explosion had distracted them and the fire-fight broke out, he had simply shot them one by one. Lorj had opened fire, too. And these poor troopers were soon on the ground dead.

Bringing his rifle on his back, Jacen stood up and drew his two DL-44s. "Approaching!" He shouted and slowly walked towards the entrance. Dead Stormtroopers everywhere and the smell of burned flesh in his nose. How familiar. Just like Roon had been. Or Taris. Or Cularin. Or Trulalis. Rabaan. Xagobah. He had seen so many fields of battle. But this was different. He felt dirty, because he killed these men for something he didn´t believe in. A Jedi. A dangerous and maniac Jedi.

Checking the entrance, he saw a single imperial officer trying to sneak away. He took aim and shot. The man made no sound, as he hit the ground. Then he turned to his team. "12 down! Clear!" He shouted and checked the corridor, again. It was a t-shaped entrance, with the prison-cells to the left and the interrogation part of the prison to his right.

He waited for the rest of the team and secured the area. When they arrived he looked back to the Colonel. "I suggest I go right into the interrogation block. I´ll take U´Tek with me. You three can get the people out of their cells. I wouldn´t recognize a Jedi anymore, anyway." He said. He simply hoped he would have better target and especially less tempting targets by avoiding Romar and throwing himself at the Sith.

"What do you say, Colonel?"

IC: Colonel Tahnan

The Falleen watched the shoot-out. The imperials had no chance and that it had been regular troopers meant they still had time. They were moving faster than the Empire responded for now. If everything went good, he would reach Romar and the other prisoners, before the more deadly units of the Empire were down in the corridors of Section 13.

"Clear." Came Jacen over the voice-com. He moved. "Go, go." Tahnan whispered and they passed the long death-trap that was the entrance. Inside he knelt down again and checked the map.

"I suggest I go right into the interrogation block. I´ll take U´Tek with me. You three can get the people out of their cells. I wouldn´t recognize a Jedi anymore, anyway."
Tahnan looked at him. Jacen Cole was wildcard. A rogue. He knew that. But he would trust him for now. "Affirmative." He coldly said, showing them the maps. "U´tek, Cole you enter the left wing. Get people from their cells and watch out for Sith. Some of them are meant to be down here." He nodded. Then he turned to the large reptilian at his side. "Lorj, Kaya you come with me. We get the prisoners from the cell. We return here in 300 seconds. Repeat, 300 seconds. Now go, go , go!" He took up his own carbine and moved towards the cell block. In the distance he already heard the stomping noise of stormtroopers approaching.

Kira Romar
Cell 13/-2, Gesaril Prison

The surge of force made her almost moan. Kira Romar trembled from anticipation. The moment her mind had considered to fight, her body had yelled he couldn´t. But the force had decided to act. And these two men felt it. Fate. Or in their case, their doom.

"Trooper K 49 here. Please prepare shuttle-pod 4 in hangar area 12. I repeat, we move the target to Section 12, now. Prepare the emergency shuttles, over there."
The trooper who had said this raised his weapon. The second zipped his around his body and raised his hands to open her restraints. She waited. Her eyes still filled with tears, but also with a deadly dedication.

And then her hands were free and from the open door a scream came to them. Shots. It sounded like a young boy or a girl that was angry. Something was happening out there. And Kira knew she wouldn´t get any better chance. The force unleashed onto the trooper holding a weapon at her, just as he turned his head. He was slammed into the wall behind him. And she felt him vanish in the force, as his spine broke in five different places. But they were Commandos. And not to be underestimated. The second she tried to grab, but her body was stiff and slow, even if supported by the force, now burning in her ice cold body like a hell-fire. The black armored man head-butted her into the face with his helmet and grabbed for his sidearm. She stumbled back, fought to keep her balance and as he pulled it and directed it at her with impressive speed, she just used the force to grab it from his hand and send it flying across the room. The man didn´t hesitate a moment, but grabbed his knife. It was to late for him. The only thing he did with the knife was letting it fall to the ground, as his hands touched his own throat. All her anger, all her fear poured into the force as she tried to hold herself back.

But something wanted this.

Something inside of her needed it.

Like a fix, like the perfect fix.

Raising her hand she felt the man suffocating fast, as the force pressed air out of his lungs. Her eyes gleamed with hatred. Her lonely heart pumped heavy blood into her pulsing veins.

No, Kira. She was surprised it was her own voice. In her head. The force has saved you, do not give in to the dark side. It´s what they wanted. It´s not who you are, but who they want you to be.She watched the man fall to his knees, but did not give her grip around his throat through the force up. Hatred, anger, fear, have brought you here. Leave them here and don´t make them a part of you.

She tried to release him, felt her grip a little lesser tight around his neck. Not breaking it.

Kira.

She heard the voice and let him go. This wasn´t hers. The man collapsed to the ground, as she called his pistol to her hand. Before he could even reach for his knife again or activate his headset, she had pushed the pistol to stun and shot twice. The body of the Commando-Trooper collapsed.

Heavy breathing, wet from her own sweat and the mysterious fluid she stood a second in the chamber. Then she realized the scream. She was to save someone? At least the force didn´t made her a killer again. She would play the game, again. As long as it got her away from the Sith. No choice, heh? You´re the slave of the force or you´re little people.

Stumbling, trembling from exhaustion she turned to the door. And with every step she took the force made her stronger. Tightening the soaking grey overall around her, she stepped out and prepared for battle. Her pistol now switched to deadly again.

Gesaril Asteroid Complex

Space

The Sunlight Ranger and the Asteroid Station continued their deadly exchange of energy, both now burning on various smaller stations. As suddenly the void of space was lighted by the explosion of 9 similar impacting fusion-torpedoes. Black Squadron, the three Trilon-Gunboats had delivered their load and for the first time there was hope to stand firm against the endless stream of the Empire. A third of the Asteroids guns fell silent, it´s shields losing 45% of it´s power and even the fighters swarming around the planet felt the shift of confidence.

Then the battle raged on. Kassaun, the young and promising Aqualish Co-pilot of Maximl Vektir was shot and collided with the Lancer-Frigate. He hit it near one of it´s shield-generators, but did more damage to the hull-plates than to the actually systems. The lancer-frigate, now hit twice and collided with a smaller ships once had lost some of it´s power. Only 15 of it´s forty point-defense emplacements were firing.

Captain Lerner
shook his head. He had wanted Vektir to keep the ship busy, not destroy it. He had hoped a hotshot like Maximl would survive it, but the overambitious guy had tried to destroy the capital-ship.
"Sabre Four to Ranger, Saber Five is KIA, crashed into the Lancer. I am unable to continue engaging the Lancer and am shifting targets to enemy fighters. Advise turbolaser bombardment against Lancer due to possibility of loss of shields on said ship. Saber Four out." Lerner slammed his fist into the tactical board. He was aborting mission? "You´ve got orders, Sabre Four." He only said, but only static returned. The Lancer was alone. And he had no single gun to point at it. The damage on the Sunlight was now reaching moderate levels. And Lerner tried to readjust his tactics. The Lancer didn't needed to do so, but already turning towards Black Squadron. "Cover, Vayland. Take cover the Lancer is free to engage, I repeat, the Lancer is free to engage." He knew what was happening now. If the force Black Squadron to avoid their run, the Empire would use the Lancer to secure the space around the Asteroid and force the Sunlight Ranger into a slow, costy retreat.

Talia watched Zeth Tak´ns rear, meanwhile. While the leader of Sabre-Squadron engaged the remaining Predators. All his shields up, his guns blazing. Some green bolts hit his shield system, but as he and the two remaining Predators came closer and closer he felt he would have them. A moment before he was hit again, his wild volley of laser hit both ships and blasted them into million pieces.
"Four from behind, Sir. Four. And they are not after the transport." Talia reported and broke away to the left, as four Predator left the Battle of Gesaril to hunt the leader of the Sabre-Squadron.
"Prepare from blockade-fire from the Lancer, repeat, report for fire from the Lancer." The Sunlight warned them.

"Incomings." Shouted the Rancor and the transports laser-batteries spitted fire. They wouldn´t help. The were the imperial bloodhounds. Send out to hunt their enemy down.

Maximl Vektir had meanwhile attacked the Bloodhound-Squadron. The imperial hunters. Send to bring the fighters of the Resistance out of reach of the asteroid or destroy them. He whirled into their formation, firing his torpedoes and guns into them. The Darklighter Turn. A famous strategy and still effective. Three Predators transformed into orange balls of fire immediately, while a force was hit and swirled out of control down to the Asteroid.

Commander Loben, leader of the Bloodhounds was impressed. He had whirled out of the way, as they first salvo reached the ships. Taken advantage of the tactics antiquity. It had been meant against TIE-Fighters, not the far more maneuverable Predators. And while his men went back to the formation he and his wingman swirled around and fell behind this daring attacker. IC: Tenk Qatar
Awakening Chamber

Slowly, Tenk was recovering. The gray overalls, while not much, helped warm him up from the intense cold that he had just been suffering from a moment ago and he was recovering from the pain from those weapons that the troopers had used on him. The Force was still muffled to him because of the drugs, but his strength was returning. He had no idea how long that strength would be kept, however, and ruthless Sith hospitality would knock him back into compliance.

Which is why, when the door to the chamber opened, he had better make sure that he escaped.

Tenk was a bit stunned, having not expected what was behind the door. The Falleen of the group that was just revealed caught his eye first and Tenk was able to see the eyes of the other wide in recognition before Raisah tossed him into a wall. That got rid of the stunning effect pretty quickly and Tenk immediately tried to use this unexpected turn of events to his advantage.

The Sith may've expected the Falleen and his companions, as in perhaps sensing them, but the troopers didn't have that ability and may be as surprised about the situation as Tenk was. So Tenk crouched, whirled around, and attacked the first trooper. His left hand came up, palm open hitting the trooper beneath his helmet, at his chin, lifting him up before Tenk's right palm smashed into the trooper's exposed solar plexus. Tenk's full strength may've yet to return, but the first blow at the trooper's chin was to unbalance him before he added the blow to his solar plexus. A heavy blow to the nerve group hidden within the solar plexus could knock out a man, but between the trooper's armored body and Tenk's physical state, knocking the trooper over was the least he could do, maybe knock the air out of him at best.

Tenk didn't finish and all but jumped at the second trooper, knocking the two of them off to the side and onto the floor before shouting, "Shoot!"

This was not just only to bring that trooper down as well, but also to get Tenk out of the line of fire; these people, apparently the intruders, may've been hesitant to shoot Raisah and her troopers with Tenk in the middle of them. Now that he was out of the way, the rescuers could now shoot at the Sith freely without any kind of fear of hitting him in the process.

And from what Tenk had seen so far, Raisah didn't have a lightsaber on her.

IC: Maximl Vektir

*While certain other pilots had the benefit of having mentors speak through them through the force by a mere trench run, Max was not that lucky.

Not only did the ruse of diving into turbolaser fire fail to dislodge any of his pursuers, but glancing blows from laser and turbolaser bolts had started to deplete his deflectors. All the while, his own inner dialouge took over his higher thought processes, a dangerous situation*

So is this REALLY it Maxie? You're running away from some jerk-arse frigate? The same Mad Max that faced down 20 Eyeballs solo so that others could live, who earned a pair of Redbirds and a Crynyd Award among many others, a pilot who was good enough to be a bloody CROSSBONES!?

Some pilot you are pal. So what are you gonna do about it?

*The onboard hardwired droid might have wondered what Max was possibly asking of it when he hoarsely whispered into his comm mike*

"Son of a Kath Hound..."

*Before he performed yet another eye-watering violent maneuver, this time performing a tight turn around the dorsal spire on the Ranger less than 10 meters away from the hull of the ship itself at full afterburner thrust, practically daring the Predator pilots to get that close and brave the guns of the Ranger.

Locating the Lancer on his scanners and reading his gauges, he realized that what he was doing was probably a one way ticket to oblivion, but it likely did not matter at this point. The idiocy of those higher up than him in the chain of command would most likely yield many casualties this day, so he determined that if he were to die it would be in a blaze of defiant glory.

With this in mind he clicked his Comm over to the combat controller channel, letting those aboard the Ranger that were paying any attention know what he was up to.*

"Sabre Four to Ranger, I am re-engaging Lancer. Repeat, Sabre Four is re-engaging Lancer class frigate. Lancer Four currently has zero torpedoes and an overall deflector screen rating of 40% SBD, and I have at least three Eyeballs on my.."
*Maxs' comm fuzzed for a fraction of a second, sparing those who were listening from a sharp earful, albeit very temporarily*
"Again Sabre Four is requesting some KARKING re-enforcements or fire support against Lancer. Sabre Four out."

*Max smirked under his helmet. The REBF (Rear Echelon Bantha Fodder) aboard the Ranger would undoubtedly be raising all sorts of hell for his profanity over the comm, but hopefully it would have put an exclamation point on just how screwed he was going into this re-engagement.
Perhaps it would have spawned said REBF into sending him re-enforcement, which was highly unlikely given they were under the direct supervision of a high ranking fleet officer, and therefore obliged to follow every one of his ill-informed orders.

Max also doubted that he would get any help from his Commanding Officer, some horn-head former intel officer that just happened to fly starfighters occasionally. Max had the suspicion that Tahen or Tak'n, whatever his name was since he had barely a shred of respect for him above the fleet idiots, which for them he had none, had somehow used intel or his experience as a leverage over Max's own obvious qualifications to lead the squadron, something that had not sat well with him at all.

He didn't dwell on it, because on his display the Lancer was doing what he suspected it would, moving after the gunboats. 15 seconds away and streaking in with his rear deflector slowly being depleted by errant laser shots from the trailing Predators, Max clicked his comm over to Black Squadrons' frequency.*

"Black Lead, resume assigned operations, Sabre Four will engage Lancer in 5 seconds.

And hurry it up already! I can keep this up all day but you guys are pushing it to a week by now!"

*With that, Max rolled the X-83 on its left side and started a slow looping roll. He had approached the Lancer from the right rear, and what was left of the
