Starting anew!

To combine the different costume threads from the old forums lets all talk here!

As before, i wanted to know peoples interest in costume workshop style get togethers so we can put our collective creative powers together! I know we have (as always it seems) a busy few months ahead of us and this is by no means something that needs to be rushed but if the stars align i know it would be a fun time

but other than that post all costume related ramblings here! ideas, questions, comments, concerns, etc, whatever! ask away and lets have fun!

 

Im in for a pilot get together and need/want to work on some jedi armor....also i am trying my hand making some lekku for some Twi'lek costuming....

I'd be interested in not only building some Mandalorian armor but joining with 2-4 or more others on a theme to make our own "tribe"

The prices for the premium files are listed in the second link. There is Boba fett armor listed for free helmet, shoulder, knees, chest back, elbows, I think codpiece as well. Android even the jeypack.

I would do a mandolin tribe. Id do a demagol or demagolesque.

Not too attracted to Crusader or Neo-Crusader armor; Ultra-Crusader armor, however, looks quite bad ass IMO. But, generally more interested in working off of the Shocktrooper or Modern Era design.

 

It may just be me Dave. I would love to get a small Buffalo based mando unit. Various shapes and sizes ready for war!

Ok...not trying to be dumb or anything, but I looked at the free thread and its just wire frame pics of armor....ummm...how does that help? LOL

 

nothing dumb about it! no worries they are 3d images of the armor from the pepakura viewer program. there is no color or texture because they are not needed in the files. some of them, like the droids on there are more wirey looking but we anret too worries about droids right now hehe. if you do a google search for pepakura viewer and download some of the free files you will get a better idea of how it all comes together.

 

I think AJ would be in for building some Mandolorian.... So would I -

Only thing I don't like about the rpf, is that they are SO critical on costume pieces. More so than the 3 SW costuming groups. It is super helpful with trying to find exact movie props, though.

 

What would you guys think if I did a Spider-Man inspired Mandalorian? I'll call myself, "The Amazing Spider-Mando"

 

Biased I am but I think it's great idea Steve. I would love to be a mando. And for Biz and Karen, I could be a Mando-tee. The underwater mando. They will get it.
