JCC Birth videos: Why are people so freaked out about it?

I'm looking at some birth videos, and the comments are notorious. People are acting so freaked out like its the worst horror movie ever. It's necessary. Without it, we would not be here. It's a lovely thing. I don't see why people are so freaked out about it all.

What do you think about birth?

"OMG! I am never going to get pregnant!"

"I feel like adopting kids now..."

"How is this **** on youtube?"

"I'm a few weeks till I'm due, and this freaked me out!"

"I just passed the **** out.."

Stuff like that.

Wait, wait, folks, I think we're missing a question we should be asking. Namely: why in the ever-loving **** is Arlon looking at birth videos to begin with?!

 

Kids are great. Birth, not so much. I watched both my kids being born and the first time I was horrified by how slimy and alien-looking my son was. The second time I was horrified by how my ex-wife's lawn really needed to be mowed.

I'm looking at birth videos because today I was thinking, "you know, if I'm in a position where I've got to help someone deliver a baby, I don't want to be all panicky or anything." So that's why.

 

If I made up an Arlon thread, I don't think it would be as weird as this one.

 

Why is sex, the act of making the baby (well sometimes) more shameful than birth?? I'm not a doctor, but I am fairly certain that if you are actually watching a birth you are still looking at naked vagina.

 

My friends are horrible people.
