Okay - i've been spending my lunch hour trying to find articles etc. with very little success so far!

That is pretty good coverage! and I'm in one of the opening ceremony crowd pics too, way in the background but I'm there! Fame at last!

 

Not impressed with the Daily Mail article

 

Neither did I, it was just taking the you know what. Very condescending!

 

I just submitted a comment to that article - lets see if its gets published! I can't believe she only focussed on the 'extreme's" and yet she claims to be a fan herself. Is talking about the good the event did so damned bad!?

EDIT: Hmmm. Having read the rebelscum.com article on CE, I'm not too happy that they went and missed out Rebel Legion from all the groups they were reporting on. RL had a rather large and important presence there, and as personal friends of several of their members, I'm disappointed on their behalf that they never got coverage.

 

Sie - just let RL know via a quick PM/email and let them worry about it, I am sure Jase or Dave will be onto them as soon as they know. I doubt it was anything malicious on the part of Rebelscum.

Edit: Lol Coz, Jase just asked me this evening about the Southport reporter guy. I was going to check.

Yep, that was me, from Southport hehe. Have a bad feeling he'll post pictures in the next article, which is definitely coming - "The event was to hold many surprises for us and one of them was the connection with cast members and Liverpool! More in a few weeks on that one..."

He took quite a few pics of me (some with Coz) and then later me stood with RL. Being not so photogenic, so maybe they'll end up on the editing floor. Hopefully.

 

I don't think it was malicious either. It's still disappointing though that the official convention rebels were missed out, while the 501st got a whole paragraph to themselves, even though they were on the same stretch of space cut off by the army inflatable assault course.

 

Funny how he forgot that he found someone from St. Helens too

I do have a large list of other newspapers etc. who ran it. But yep, sad to see that one of the UK's best kept secrets is yet again not credited to the UK by our own press! No wonder why the US market gets more shows.

And you never know, if we got to the Hyperspace, maybe the photo will also get to the Insider, once they do the CE Report.
