San Fran, CA COMIC CON 2005 - July 13-17

Awesome!!! LOL!

 

SO if we can all try to meet at noon at the Metreon the Saturday before Comic-Con to settle on final things it would be great. Basically it's for those going to the con so it's not one of our regular meetings. We will probably have that on the 23rd at a special location.

I'll come to the meeting at the Metreon this weekend too. I'm excited and stressing at the same time... I can construct a Leia ANH costume in a week right? I'm off to start drafting my pattern now.

IMPORTANT: I just found out that a friend's funeral is at 10 am on Saturday. Could we move the meeting later in the afternoon, say 5 pm? If not, how's Sunday at 12 noon?

 

Sorry to hear about the funeral Matt Sunday is better for me, but if everyone else is only able to do 5:00 pm Saturday I can be there.

If anybody wants to see Howl's Moving Castle that day, Miyazaki is good for the soul, I have about 6 AMC passes. Not good for Metreon unfortunately but good for AMC Kabuki where it is playing.

Oh man - I just started reading through Friday's line-up for Comic Con. Natalie's cute and all, but I've gotta check out the 10:30 Anchor Bay Presentation with Jerry O'Connell Why these presentations have to be at the same time is beyond me!

So, it looks like the RL photo shoot is still taking place on Friday? Is that problematic for people who want to attend panels at 10:30 & 11:00 am? If this convention is anything like CIII I'd imagine the lines start early for that stuff.

(in Seaport Village, on the water, all the way at the northern end of the complex)
- about a 10 minute walk from the convention center.

I assume most if not all of us will be going to this. I've invited a friend who has taken care of us in the past as our guest.

And info for the Official 501st photo shoot

501st Picture - Saturday Morning 8:30 a.m.

Meet at the exterior staircase, next to the inclined
elevator on Harbor drive at 8:30 a.m.

We will begin immediately at 8:30 a.m. so that
volunteers are free before their shifts begin and the droid hunt can
commence.

 

Best Buy is about 1/2 mile away and Costco is 3 miles away. Ralph's Grocery is another 1/2 mile further up the same road. Our supply of ramen is well secured as well as any emergency tech needs.

 

Have fun, ditto on taking lots of pictures.
