    Has there been any word from the actor who played Darth Sidious in regards to a spin-off movie?

    Do we need a Darth Sidious spin-off? He was a pretty major character in episodes 1-3 and 6. I think they should save the spin-offs for characters like Boba Fett that don't already have a clear story.

    I wouldn't mind a spin off of something involving him taking place between III and IV.

    Darth Sidious: Origins could be cool but it could also dilute his character's unknown menace. As for an Ep. 3-4 set flick, it could work if you set up a series of screw-jobs between Palpatine and Vader, sort of a cold war for dominance where one really doesn't know one is trying to destroy the other and have it end in a wash.
