    That will help Wonderfully!!!!! If your talking about the little square that sits in front of the shroud then my answer is: I probably will make that on A mill. With auto-cad that is a real simple piece to make.

    As a correction I did the Vader control box plates on the mill too. not the CNC. the mill was much faster and easier.

    Yeah, the mill should make easy work of the part above the shroud. I should have been more specific... I meant the piece below the shroud. With the holes and indents... that'd probably be an easily milled piece too.

    If you CAD those, can I request the file?

    As of right now I'm halting work on my Lightsaber, I'm waiting till www.rebelscum.com or www.galactichunter.com or www.jeditemplearchives.com update their Photo Archives with the ROTS Darth Vader lightsaber. I can get really good reference pictures then, like a top views and bottom views of some of the buttons and plates ect. I want to make this as accurate as possible and don't want to keep re-doing things here and there.

    you guys can still drop by if you want and post Tips and advice on what to do and not to do ect.

    i made a temporary piece out of a section of 2 inch pvc. it has the same curve and detail and then i used chrome paint to paint it. would like a metal machine piece of this section as well.
    [image=http://www.501neg.com/photos/albums/userpics/10199/normal_sabermods4.JPG]

    i would also like to get a metal machined block like the one just below the emitter, as mine is made from wood and painted....and cracked now as you can see...lol, as mentioned earlier this saber is a force fx that has been heavily modified to look rots as well as the blade being modified to a 3 star luxeon

    No need to bump once a day. Threads usually stay up front for a while. Bump it when you have progress.

    I think the acounts are private, so people can only see the pictures you post to the public.

    hey ryan...the part looks great but its too big to be scaled properly for the saber...it needs to fit inbetween the two black side pieces and its actually as long as the whole switch box...also its about an 1/8 too long...i can get you some acurate measurements from my piece on my force fx...ill pm you

    you can see that in this picture you found...

    [image=http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/gallery/events/toy_fair/toy_fair_2005/master_replicas/DSCN7381.jpg]

    also maybe you can get those little dots added into the design too...

    oh and thanks for the props too...i always pay for the stuff i ask for ;-)

    let me know if and when you make some changes to the piece as i will buy another one

    If you can give me the correct measurements I can make you another one.
    Sorry that the other piece didn't work out for you.

    thats okay...the exact measurments i need is 11/32" wide by 1 9/16 long...same pattern but smaller triangles and if you can add the dots for even more accuracy that would rock...let me know you should be able to get the design in easily if you make the painted goove thinner...in the picture above it looks as if the dots are the size of the goove on the one you sent me and the lines are much thinner...maybe by half...it should make the triangles about the same size even though the piece is smaller scale.
