Thought I'd restart this over here and we'll all have to vote again.

I voted not for tournies. I won't really use it for friendly competition much either but gotta at least try it out. I don't believe the risk(all that build into one unit)is worth the reward. Of course I used to sorta think the same thing about Mace A but playtesting taught me different.

I voted Yes of course. I think there are several strategies to build around this deck using current bombard/ion strategies or a Space/Char combo (definitly with removable damage Moff and Intecept Vader).

I voted for yes as well since there are many strategies that you can use around the deck. I also find that sometimes I have more build points than I know what to do with so I may be able to build the Death Star alright. And it would just be fun to play with!!!

I said "yes" because I can have it in my deck, but still not base my deck solely around it. It'll be there if the opportunity arises.

But beware of Error in Judgment!

Yes. Teamed with some stormies and other buildable characters, I love my Death Star.

I voted no because I too don't really like high build cost units. At times they can be difficult to put down and sometimes aren't worth the risk. The highest build in my deck so far is 9 (I think).

Mace in Sith Rising is 10, and one of the Core's is also 10.

The Death Star is not an overly powerful unit but it is well balanced and will be fun to play. It shouldn't be some ultra powerful low build cost unit that makes it too hard for the LS to win

In my playtesting, I've discovered, so far, that dropping the Death Star during setup, or even Round 1 is almost always a losing proposition for the DS. It simply eats up too much BP to maintain any kind of hold on the other two arenas, and 3 to 4 Starfighters can have the Death Star in trouble in a big hurry.

I found that building up your typical forces during setup and the first turn or 2, then building the Death Star works very well.

Well thats where my strategy comes in, drop the ds, then after all the starfighters are down drop an unfriendly fire!!! Snaps the starfighters, then clear ground and drop a SAT Easy win!
