Well, you guys missed a milestone in baking history...Krash making "clonetrooper cupcakes" all by himself. We lost a couple soldiers in the cloning process, with Emily calling any "Black Hawk Down" cupcakes...but overall, they turned out pretty good.

And as always, my experience in the kitchen provides entertainment for everyone in the house (but surprising very little clean-up this time). How do you normally pour batter into those cupcake wrappers? My way involved a jello-shot syringe (sp?)

 

Let's go cow tipping and then battle in the snow with sabers and recreat the battle of Hoth.....

 

...... or not. I'm bringing the Pictures from Dark X-mas.

 

It was nice seeing everyone today! Sorry for skipping out so early...Saralyn had to be somewhere, and I am so dead tired. Note to self: don't procastinate packing so much that you have to get up at 4am the day of your flight to finish.

I'll be around until I think the 20th, so I hope to see you guys again before I leave.

 

Oh boy, I get to post the minutes to a meeeting that I actually attended!

First of all, I'd like to thank Cindy and her mom for opening up their house to us.

- T-shirts: if anyone still wants one, PM Geoff right away, because he wants to get the order in in time to give Timothy Zahn one. And if you're not sure if you owe him money, check the thread.

- Timothy Zahn: He is coming to Joseph-Beth Booksellers on February 9th at 7:00 pm. We will be presenting him with a t-shirt, a plaque and will make him an honorary member.

- Bowl for Kids Sake: Geoff, Emily, Cindy, Will, and Eric have made a team, nicknamed "Rebel Strike Force." Bowl for Kids Sake is a fundraiser for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. They need to raise at least $100 each, so if anyone wants to donate to them (or knows of people who would be interested in helping), I'm sure that they wouldn't mind in the least.

- And finally, we have a new Council member. Congratulations to Cindy, our newest addition (as the Recruiter)!

 

It was great to finally meet more JKOC members! And, Cindy, congratulations on your appointment to the Council! And thanks to both Georgeann and Cindy for hosting the party. Even though I had to leave early, I HAD to watch part of AOTC when I got home.

 

Great meeting everyone, it was good to see you all again.

 

It was fun being able to see almost everyone there in one place. That Thumb Wars movie I think dropped my IQ down a few points!!! Only wish we could have battled...freezing in the snow!

 

Just a few? I guess that we'll have to try harder next time .

I had a great time. Sorry we couldn't finnish that Stratego game John, but I had to leave early. And thank you Eric for bringing it. I'll mail you the money.

 

Regardless of when you had to leave...it was great having so many of us together in one place. Wish all of our meetings could have that kind of turn-out!

Had a good talk with BMack tonight (both phone and IM) about the website. I shared the opinions everyone expressed at the meeting, and regardless of his whinning...he understands the need for us to all be able to load all the functions of the webpage. The site he showed my as a reference for what he has in mind is impressive, and he thinks we can have something up and running in time for Zahn.
