Don't Panic!

I went and saw National Treasure today and finally got to see the first teaser for what is to be the ultimate in movie experiences... Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!!!!! Though the teaser reveals nothing about the actual movie, I have my towel ready and can't wait for next May!

On another note, National Treasure was a great movie and I highly recommend it. Very smart yet quick and fun.

 

Come on now, I can't be the only one stoked about this, can I?!?!

I'm kinda worried about how they handle it, though. I'm having a tough time seeing how they could take this wonderfully random book and make it a cool movie. It seems the best parts of the book are the random off-topic stuff.

I guess I'll have to wait and see.

 

Yeah, I'm totally with ya on that. If I weren't on the Bartimeaus Trilogy I'd be rereading them.

The only thing I can see is them having little snippets from the Guide in the movie. The major downer I see at this point though is that it's Disney. A book like this shouldn't be done by frelling Disney. Heck, the first few chapters are about a guy getting drunk at the pub. Come on!
