OK - update - Deb and I can make the curry night if it is still on Friday 15th....is this still the plan???

 

No mate, it's gonna be the Saturday night, after we leave Durham we all head back to Bish Vegas.

 

Ive got my brother coming to mine for the weekend from Uni so I can attend a day meet in Durham for a day wonder around town and to climb the tower But other than that Back home for another BBQ.

whats the plan of meet up on Saturday What time and where in Durham ?

 

Haven't decided on a proper meetup time. Maybe about middayish?

How long do we need to see the best of what Durham can offer? Because we'll be leaving the fair city for Sie town probs 5-6pm ish won't we? I don't mind getting there before midday.

 

It depends what you guys fancy seeing. To me Durham is just...Durham. You guys can check out any tourist destinations you fancy though.

And keep me posted about who's coming for curry.

Well, we could meet about 11am if that's suitable for people....that should be enough time to get round places such as the Cathedral and Castle...there are other attractions such as the Oriental Garden and the Archaeology Musuem too....if it's nice weather, we can always have lunch along the riverside or something??

Tim- since we'll be coming from my place, we can leave whenever you want really. I'll use the park and ride just outside the city centre, so we can get the bus in from there (I've never used it, but I'd imagine it'll be cheaper and easier than trying to park in the city centre on a Sat).

I can take three people (as well as me and Tim) to Sie's after we've been to Durham, so Leigh, you have first option if you want a ride!

Yes. Everyone can stay as long as they want/overnight.

 

I'll definitely pop up to Durham during the day to see y'all - but i'm a maybe for the curry - depending what the latest train I can get back to York is - have a feeling there is a late one from Newcastle - will check tmrw when i have more time online! I have other plans for the Sunday I think!

 

The curry won't be in Durham, Ven, so you'll be stuck for trains to Newcastle/York.

 

So were meeting at Noon in Durham But where abouts ? Shall we say in the Market place square ?
