    Where the Coruscant Nights Book II was not great...I still found myself actually liking it...and finished it in pretty good time...

    "Millenium Falcon" is indeed a fun read...
    again...I seem to only have a limited time to devote to reading..but find myself making time for this one...I am already 1/3 of the way through....and I just started it on Saturday...

    How true...it is nice to read a story with no worry about someone' life in jeopardy....
    and...
    there are so many references to some of the really old books like "Han Solo - At Star's End" and the Lando Calrission Trilogy..."Flame Wind of Oseon"....

    lots of good stuff...

    Book Club will be Saturday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Schaumburg, discussing Jedi Twilight, Coruscant Nights I;

    followed by lunch and games at Game Works in Schaumburg, beginning at approximately 3:30 p.m.;

    and if that wasn't enough for 1 day -

    followed by Quantum of Solace at Streets of Woodfield, show time between 7:00 p.m and 8:00 p.m. (to be determined).

    Way more fun than anyone should be allowed to have in one day!

    It's so nice to be thrown a bone like that, and it takes so little effort to do. And since we're just remembering them and not rereading them it's nostalgic and not tooth-pulling.

    Peaches: I could be wrong, but I think book club is on the 22nd, of November; in this the year of our Lord 2008. And afterwards, GameWorks, and Quantum of Solace!!!!

    Best crazy line in Corsuscant Nights so far:

    "No guts, no glory, after all. Not that he had anything to prove. Nick knew he had guts. He'd seen them."

    reflected this event:)

    Had a great time at the book club yesterday:)

    Sure, I did not read the book, but participating with others who had
    and hearing what they have to say, is fun, enlightening, and Star Wars.

    9 in all attended a lively discussion of about 90 minutes, that was followed up by
    LUNCH!

    I tried to use my new, (now do not faint) computer
    (yes, after 14 years of waiting and with windows 98 my only upgrade I thought it was time)

    but, the bookstore we were at could not tell me how to use the wireless connection,
    and of course, since I have very little, well acutually, almost no knowledge
    of how this new fangled thing works, I was unable to be on the internet.

    Maybe it was just this place, as I saw no one else useing a computer and most everywhere else,
    I go there seems to be access, perhaps I am at a competing book store, but then I rarely
    can tell them apart.

    oh well,

    I still had lots of fun!

    Looking forward to a good discussion Saturday of Millennium Falcon at the Border's on State Street.

    I wonder where we will go for lunch after. Any ideas? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Anyone?

    Even tho I am out of town at this time, I like to keep track of things,

    It's me - doc4converse - strange to be able to use a new name and pretend you are newbie when you know you are not. With my costume, I might as well have a username that describes me properly.

    What are the plans after the book club meeting on May 30? I will be there, but not sure if I can finish the book by then. I will try to see if I can also come June 27 - not sure yet - although the scavenger hunt seems fun.

    Sorry to have missed the last book club meeting since I loved "Millenium Falcon" and could not stop laughing when Poste was trying to explain who Han Solo and Princess Leia are to Jadak...
