"In a shocking move, Chief of State Natasi Daala orders the arrest of Luke Skywalker for failing to prevent Jacen Solo's turn to the dark side and subsequent reign of terror as a Sith Lord."

    SRSLY?

I'm gonna call it now: Jacen's fall will be retconned because he was a victim of Luke's lousy training.

Wow. They manage to surprise you just when you think that they can't sink any lower. [face_plain]

Trace, it will be a combination of Luke's bad training and Anakin's corrupted gene pool. I mean, come on, there is no such thing as personal accountability. [face_plain]

ETA: Yeah, it's "shocking" that Daala would be out to destroy Luke and the Jedi. We've never seen that before.

And then Luke will have to venture deep into the Peruvian... er... I mean Yavin jungle to find a lost ark... er... I mean artifact that will stave off the Nazis... er... I mean Republic.

You know what, Del-Rey's and Lucasfilm's attitude towards post-ROTJ Star Wars pretty much mirrors that of director Larry Buchanan's towards his film Attack of the Eye Creatures. And that brings me to this:

    They Just Didn't Care!

    8-}

    Is this satire?

Will Frank Drebin be leading the investigation?

Will Luke Skywalker be appearing on TV to say "You know what, galaxy? **** the lot of you. Here's my **** lightsabre!" and walk off.

No, Ben. Frank Drebin wouldn't lower himself to the dribble they're calling literature.

What's even better is this guy that has been living since BEFORE ROTS, being kept alive at the "Aurora Medical Center" by replacing organs, pumping memories and dreams into his brain and basically "remaking" him. It's the Jadak character that FLEW THE FALCON IN THE ROTS SCENE.

OK... I've finished KOTOR: Commencement. Now I'll have to re-read the second trade and go from there.

    Now sing with me:

I read KOTOR and I liked it...

    Nicki-

I'm hearing that the new Karen Miller book has some Anakin/Padme goodness that has been missing a long time... [face_praying]

Girl. I am reading it (Clone Wars - Wild Space). Best A/P stuff in a long time. I [face_love] Karen Miller. She has Padme snapping Obi-Wan up after Geonosis. To quote a line of Padme's: "Then get to the point Obi-Wan, or go back to the temple. I didn't invite you here, and you've been here this long only as a courtesy." (Yes, you heard that right. We get what happened right after Geonosis.) She writes a STRONG Padme. [face_love]

She made me like Bail a whole lot more...

Course... I never thought about between Genosis and the Secret wedding on Naboo...

I like how Miller gives us a bit about that...

And yep, strong Padme... Who knew? It's about time...

However, past the first bits... there's not much A/P anymore...Just a whole lot of Obi-Wan and Bail.

Yeah, but you have to realize we don't get Anakin/Padme at all, and that the entire first part of the book is even putting scenes between them is more than we ever get - and strong Padme is the real Padme, I hate how she's portrayed post-AOTC. I'm finding that I don't like Bail as much after this, he seems too high on Palpatine at first, which isn't how I pictured him. But then again, we don't get much about him either, unless you count LoE. Maybe after I read more.

I like him... (but, I have an Obi colored view of the GFFA so I like him by the end for how he is...)

The world needs more strong Padme... Not that weak thing we get...

She's been ok so far in the Clone Wars cartoon...

Okay, we A/P 'shippers have another first in SW sex, Nicki. In this Wild Space book, Anakin tells Padme that he's got to do something and then he'll meet her in the shower in one scene. And he talks about the "taste" of her. Giggity. Is it getting hot in here? :p

Ok, I'm convinced. I'm running to Barnes and Noble during lunch.

Karen Miller may be my new favorite author.
