Who's interested in seeing a remastered, high-def version of The Wizard of Oz in theaters for one night only, to celebrate its 70th anniversary? The 7 pm screening also features a documentary, the specially created To Oz! The Making of a Classic, an exclusive look inside Oz featuring behind-the-scenes footage, home movies and archival interviews with the cast and crew.

The Tanforan System is the most central and best of options. Plus Costco is right there to snag the discounted passes. :)

After you guys watch it, you should go see Wicked before it's gone, if you already hadn't. I LOVED it.

Not sure the discount passes apply since it's considerd a special event like when they do their live streams of The Met. Will have to check.

Oh, yeah Wicked is definitely wicked. Great show.

Yeah, I was fortunate to see the pre-Broadway run here in San Francisco with original cast-members, Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth back in 2003 for free.

And as far as the current run in San Francisco, I'm pretty sure it's open-ended. And I just found out, through "my work" is that I can purchase tickets for Wicked Performances between September 1-October 8, and can save up to $30 on all: Orchestra, Loge, and Mezzanine seating.

Let me know if any of you guys want to go, as I could go straight to the theater box-office and get the tix w/o the convenience fee.

But as far as "Oz," unfortunately I can't make it. Off at 7:30pm, but could meet you guys at Tanforan afterwards...

I've already seen Wicked. I'm game for Wizard of Oz. I'm guessing this hype for the anniversary blu-ray release.

I'm out actually, I need to concentrate on certain projects which need priority. Rogue Squadron needs certain things done and I have to take point. Have fun over the rainbow folks. ;)

Haha, I would have been interested if I'd had time to check the forum before now. LOL! Gotta make use of the Yahoo group e-mail feature or something...

Rogue Squadron was responsible for the initial formation of SFFF... Chanel was Rogue Five. Some of the Rogues are part of SFFF however for the most part they will be only called in when the situation is most dire.

Showtime for this one night event is at 6:30 PM. Century Theaters in SF, Daly City, and Tanforan have it as well as AMC Emeryville. There are others of course, but all are at the same time.

I could probably go to Tanforan. Free parking is always nice.
