Besides like 2 films that really really sucked gus. I wasted a whole tape for a couple of little kids play with sabers? And did you see the film that got voted to BE THE BEST FANFILM!! That was pathetic.. "Troops was funny."

I can't believe they only showed parts of those films. I had a hard time keeping up with what film was playing at the time. What was that about????? A couple of films were good......That could have been sooooo much better.

Yeah, you only seen 45 seconds of the movie. And to think that Goerge Lucas chose that stupid musical for the best Fan Film.. Pa wars was better than that for crying out loud. Atom Films doesnt compare to theforce.net Broken Allegiance SHOULD HAVCE BEEN IN THERE!

I enjoyed the TROOPS, that movie still gets major laughs out of me, those guys did A+ work.

I didn't like that one that was like a Matrix ripoff however.

I liked certain parts of the "Matrix rip-off"....wasn't Clay Kronke doing something along those lines?

Yeah I remember the Jedi Matrix one. Some parts looked ok and some looked like when they did the "Speed" scenes, it looked to fake.

I agree that "The Battle Of Hoth" was the best of the bunch, like a Ken Burns film. My film "Essence of the Force" (hopefully up on TFN soon) could have been in the mix, but the Atomfilms/Lucasfilms contract was too much, couldn't bring myself to sign it. I missed the fanfilm awards, but it's replaying later tonight, so I'll probably still watch it. The best Star Wars fan films are here though.

FILMMAKER: So far, I've heard nothing but praise for your film. I plan on checking it out just as soon as I have the time. Congrats on finishing something that will make you want to pull your hair out!

    "FAN FILM AWARDS SUCKED! "

Not exactly encouraging intelligent discussion, is it?

I wish they had played the whole Troops, but I really liked Jar Jar's walking papers!

Walking Papers was funny....one of the few redeeming factors....the other being Kevin Smith, of course.

I, for one, was surpised how much of my own DARTH VADER'S PSYCHIC HOTLINE they showed... I'd been told to expect a little bit during the list of "nominees" for the Audience Award, but about fell out of my chair when they ran the entire intro and selected bits as the "mock commercial" at the end of one of the last segments... coolness!

And agreed that THE BATTLE OF HOTH is excellent... would love to get a full non-Internet-resolution version of it...

    Fenn,

Yours was great. When they showed the nominees for your award, I was afraid that's all we'd see. But then I was pleasantly surprised. Really fantastic. :D

tumble: I agree. I changed the title to something a bit more appropriate. :)

DUDE, what is wrong with George Lucas, he picked such as STUPID film. That little girl and her stupid song drove me nuts.

I couldn't figure out what he was talking about when he said he picked a film that was simple and not all about computer effects. Uh, George...?

George Lucas is a strange man. I would hate working for him. He doesn't seem to pleasant to be around. But he makes great movies! (with the exception of Episode I)
