People know of my love for Seha, of course, but I also loved Raharra Lapti, the young Jedi Padawan who was plucked from training to serve as an ambassador to Klatooine because of her species. That's a cool story waiting to happen. I'm also fascinated by characters who have been around for a while, but haven't ever gotten much perspective or arc - like Octa Ramis, or Kyp for most of the Legacy era. Finally, I wish there was more about Tiu Zax, the Omwati Jedi from Betrayal, since she and Mara had some nice scenes together, and seeing an Omwati who's not Qui Xux would help me get that out of my head :)

Glad to see you at the party, imiller. :D

All these cool, new side characters makes me want a Tales From The New Jedi Order book!

Are you kidding? This is the era of Mercy Kill! Of course I'll be here! :)

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I really hope that the Star Wars digital shorts program introduced at Celebration VI leads to published anthologies. That would be awesome.

The first one, Zahn's "Winner Lose All," I believe is scheduled around the release of Scoundrels in December.

I can't wait till you get to Wraith Squadron, let alone Mercy Kill ;)

Let's hope a Seha Dorvald story pops up! :D

After I finish Wedge's Gamble, I'm out of X-Wing books for a little while... :(

[face_thinking] I'd never thought of that. xD
I have a bit of catching up to do on a few other books as well.

I can't wait for SotJ! I need to know what's in store for Ben next. :p

What kinds of things do you want to see her in, Team Padme?

I just want to see her become a Jedi padawan, and how being a Hapan Princess affects her life.

Hopefully, they don't make her a Sith lord when she's an adult.

I really enjoyed the character progression for Raynar, Tahiri in the arc.

I also really enjoyed Dorvan... and wish that more named Sith, such as Workan and Vol, had survived. Vol was very interesting.

You know, I really really liked Dorvan in that series? He's the first Chief of State that I've ever particularly felt attached to. Borsk was infuriating as was Daala, Mon Mothma was boring, and I was attached to Leia as a jedi/luke's sister, not as a Chief of State. I hope Dorvan isn't eaten alive by the political machine.

I really liked Raynar in this series. Just like I liked Alema in LOTF and I hated both characters in DNT so I was pleasantly surprised about that.

I need to go back and read the series again to remember everything but Dorvan was one of the best characters introduced in the series.

He was the only major one to survive, bar Abeloth.

Poor Taalon, Vol and Workan :(

Okay, now that the moment of silence is over, can I have a moment of pleading with editors to tone down the descriptions of violence? I am not convinced that describing entrails hanging out of poor Bazel's body was helpful or interesting.

I think that the idea was to make it seem that while missing vital organs, he was still a beast. But I see your point.

What was everyone's favorite scene in all of the series?

Probably Han's two big scenes in Conviction (my favorite of the series): "Nobody move, this is a coup!" and when he tricks the Klatooinian leader into doing the right thing.

Though I'd probably go with something from Mercy Kill. Because, you know, Mercy Kill :)

So, this being where we currently are in the series, am I the only one who wants to see more Young Jedi Knights in the future? I'm not even talking people around the age of the original group, but people that are specifically Ben's age. Those Jedi that are eventually going to grow up to be the contemporaries he works alongside and eventually leads. Like everyone else i'd like to see more novels about established Jedi (Octa, Kyp, Kyle, Lowbacca, etc.) and i'm excited for Crucible and SotJ, but I feel that we really know nothing about the current group of young jedi that must exist somewhere in the EU for the order to keep growing. And over the last few years we've only seen the old group, and the original group, dwindle in numbers. I think that bringing in a new class can add more depth to the EU, give Ben a more central role, and give fans new characters to enjoy.
