Future of FF Spain

    Hi,

    I need to inform you that your CR pirry (Manu) has been demoted due to his inactivity here at the boards. He hadn't logged in since 2006. Now in order to remain an official chapter of FanForce you need to have a chapter representative. You have until August 1st to elect a new chapter representative, or else you will loose your status as an official FanForce chapter.

    Also within FanForce we are going to be stricter with how we judge a chapter to be active. In order to stay one you will need to have three announced meetings each year, or else you will loose your status. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

    We'd be glad to choose a new CR. I don't know if we'll manage to have the necessary yearly meetings, but we'll try.

    Remember that meetings don't have to be a big thing, if you can just come together for a coffee or something like that, that's enough. :)

    Our main problem has always been the same: half the FF Spain members live in the Canary Islands, and coming to the meetings is just too expensive for them.

    Maybe making several smaller meetings would be a good idea, yes. Is the "three members for meeting" rule still up¿

    Yeah, it is. Another option is to create regional forums, like a chapter in Canarias, another in Madrid, ect. Each would have their own forum, plus as an added bonus, a Spain General Discussion forum where all members can meet. This would allow for easier real life meetings. :)

    Yeah, Spike, I remember discussing that possibility before we became an official chapter. The thing is, we are small, and I don't really feel like starting a recruitment run. At all. We are already struggling as we are and I don't think thinning our numbers would make us any good. A single chapter seems like the only reasonable choice and, well, there's always the possibility of growth.

    By the way, we talked to Manu/Pirry yesterday. If/when he chooses to rejoin, he'd be our main choice for CR. :)

    You don't have to have the meetings at the same place each time. If you can get enough people together in the Canary islands you could call a FF Spain meeting there, it would count as an official meeting as long as least three people were there.

    We'll see what we can do. If we can't work it out, maybe it's time to close the doors and say goodbye, but we have to try.

    Me voy a morder varias veces la lengua y a envenenarme poco a poco antes de decirle claramente a esta piba lo que modestamente opino de sus estrictas reglas y normas y de por donde..., es lo que hay y así nos lo tendremos que comer, lentejas si quieres las comes y si no.....

    Yo voto por que sea Manu "Pirry" el C.R.
    Por lo menos un año más!

    Fué imposible, no pudimos coincidir, el finde que vino David a Madrid yo me fui a Vitoria y al siguiente fin de semana Manu se fue a Londres.....pero lo conseguiremos.:_|

    Unfortunately since I haven't heard anything about a new CR, and we are now more than a week past the deadline I gave you, I will have to revoke your status as official chapter of FanForce. If you want to become official again you will have to redo the process again, three meetings within a year (with proper announcements) and an active CR.

    If there is anything I can do to help you become official again, don't hesitate to ask.

    I'm very sad about this as well. I hoped that you could stay as an official FF chapter, but... :(

    ¿Esto es todo? Joder, esto cada vez parece mas una dictadura, y nos quitan el banner y todo y tenemos que comeronos este banner mas soso que todos los mods de aquí.


    Joder, que ganas de meterse donde no les llaman, ni que el FanForce Spain les hubiera importado nada antes. Hemos hecho aquí lo que nos sale de los cojones siempre para que ahora nos vengan a dirigir como a críos.

    Pues es muy triste pero, en fin, tampoco nos hacía tanta falta ser un capítulo oficial, ¿no? Podemos seguir escribiendo aquí de igual manera y, los que lo hacemos, mantener contacto en la vida real sin ninguna presión.

    Por cierto, he vuelto. :)
