GBG Demo today!

They're releasing the GBG playable demo today...

 

I'm downloading it, if I can find it.

 

And there was much rejoycing!

And it might be a nice idea to upload the demo (depending on its size) once you get it because servers will be filled up probably.

 

They usually put their updates in the evening or at night. Check between 7 and 10 EST

 

In my time zone that's about 3-6 AM. Well, I guess I'm getting it tomorrow.

 

bout mid-day for me! woohoo though i doubt il be able to DL it.

in my experience with my 56K - my large DLs either time out or just screw up. i may get gozilla so i can DL battlegrounds a little bit each day for a week. hmmmmm thats an idea!

 

at least you don't have a 33.6K modem...

 

SFL, get Download Accelerator. Blows Gozilla and getright and all the other stuf away.

does it allow you to DL from where it stoped last time. like if i DL 87% of battlegrounds and i get DCed (disconnected) will download accelerator allow me to continue from the 87%mark or will i have to start again?

Will be starting download when I go out for the evening. Hopefully it'll be finished by morning.

The trial version of Galactic Battlegrounds lets you play the first campaign mission of the Galactic Empire and also has multiplayer enabled. You can play as either the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance in multiplayer mode.

 

Damn, that server is bogged down. 2 kb/second? Please.

 

SFL, if you can wait or have troubles, I'll DL the demo when we're out tonight & burn it to cd for you tomorrow (and I'll post Monday).

I've downloaded 100 megs and it took about 10hr. This'll probably take 7 or 8. I'll start downloading it before I go to sleep tonight.
