Unless I'm mistaken, aren't those the coloUrs on the Change Username Style page, Hama?

 

They are one and the same, CA. Converting them with markup codes took a while, though.

 

Actually, there's been a discussion of colours going on in the Community for a while now, and we've come up with a few more colours than that, including the hex ones. Please check out Posting in Technicolor.

Edit: For a complete listing of the Hexidecimal Colours, just check out [color==#4677c1]Hexidecimal Color Codes[/color]. That site has hundreds and hundreds of colours for you to use.

Yeah. I just now saw the thread in Community. I'll edit in the others that you guys found.

 

This is a very helpful thread, so many colors. It makes an artist happy.

hey hama, i used the change username color guide for all the colors @ the posting in technicolor thread. (you'll notice i had the first full list even though it didn't have the color codes)

Just a note: "transparent" is not actually a valid color code for posts. It may be valid for moderator-style username colors, but I have no experience with that; all I know is that if you type in <your text here>, you will get nice default-colored (black*) text.


There are actually several threads on this subject, some here in Communications, and at least one or two in Community. But it's nice to bring all the info together in one thread (especially one started by an admin, who can keep editing as new info is learned/discovered).


*Yeah, yeah, I know, it's not really black, it's #132237, but it gives the impression of being black.

Transparent works as a background color, but not as text. It's the same way for admin usernames.

 

Looks like light sky blue and black are the closest to a regular member's colors.

 

Actually, Light Steel Blue is the closest, unless you use the exact hexadecimal code (#b8cae7)

 

for hexidecimals do you just do it like color names?

Yes. The pound sign (#) is optional in UBB code.

For example, use [ color=b8cae7 ][ b ]User Name Here[ /b ] [ /color ] to create:

User Name Here

Okay, the new hexadecimal code for usernames' background is #a6cba2.

So [ hl=a6cba2 ] [ b ] Your Name Here [ /b ] [ /hl ] will give you:
