    I would say Vader.

My next question was going to be:
Which SW planet you would vacation on?

A: The one that changed Han's mind on Ord Mantell. He appeared only in "mention", but sounds terrifying. :p

Q: Worst onscreen SW death? Not in terms of tragic or sad... I mean pathetic...

A: I'm sure I am missing something obvious, but I keep thinking of Aayla Secura's death in ROTS.

Q: Since we are on the subject, most tragic on screen SW death?

Two answers: From the OT, probably in ESB at the end of the duel between Luke and Vader. Everything about that scene is very powerful to me.
From the PT, it has to be Anakin's final turn to the Dark Side. There are 3 moments that are equal here: 1) When Anakin ignites his lightsaber before cutting down the younglings, 2) The moment when Anakin has killed the separatist leaders on Mustafar and he stands on the gantry and the single tear has rolled down his cheek, 3) At the end of the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan when Obi-Wan tells him that he was like his brother and that he was the chosen one. All 3 moments never fail to raise goose-bumps.

Q: Favorite character from each trilogy?

A: Plapy (That is old-school JC for Palpy; ie Palpatine)

Q: Did the rebels celebrate at the end of ROTJ by eating Jango Fett clone-meat? Their catering was provided by the Ewoks...

    Anakin as the Christ-child.

Would the Empire have happened had been alive to QuiGon train Anakin?

Yes, bit differently. Anakin would have gone into seclusion until he was powerful enough and had learned enough to take down Palps. Or he would be killed.
Q: worst death in Star Wars? (Either horrible or pathetic, or "this person shouldn't have died")

Umm...padme's death was not particularly well done, but she did need to die, so Mara Jade. *scowls at Karen Traviss*
And for pathetic, probably whatever happened to Jar Jar.

Pssht. I thought we were talking in Saga. :p
They tie then, but I'm slightly for Padmé.
She needed to die more nobly, I think.
(Plans to restart that thread about Padmé's death being weak....)

    Q. Do you wear glasses? (Strange question, I know. :p )

Yes. I now I said this already.....
I'm for Mara simply because she didn't need to die, which Is worse than having a not-so-good death
Q: (Arrgh! I can't be lazy!) do you think "American Tolkien" is a phrase that should be applied to George R.R. Martin? (It's on the book covers)

A; Good Lord, no. He is a passing fad who will be replaced by the next generation. Great, but not lasting.

Q: Greater cultural impact for their time: Martin or Anne Rice?

    No.
He should be George R.R. Martin.
He's a separate author, separate entity.

Edit: Rice, I think. But it could go either way.

    Q: Favourite Crayola colour?

Glad to hear it. I love Tolkien, and someone told me that phrase, so I looked at (ie read) the book. I was not impressed. And he's not particularly similar in his writing, anyway. My guess is that the person who said this meant "they both write big books."
Deferring question to next responder, on the grounds of being in eligible to answer.

A: I always liked seafoam green for some odd reason

Q: Favorite chicken nugget dipping sauce?

EDIT: The closest comparison to Tolkien that I advocate is CS Lewis merely because the 2 were friends, contemporaries, held each other in equal esteem and bounced ideas off of one another.
