Idina Menzel is joining the cast. Supposedly as a rival vocal coach, but it still doesn't rule out her being Rachel's mother.

That's for all you glee fans.

I'm really excited for her joining the cast. I loved her in Rent.

On another note bought both Glee cd's today. : )

Perhaps the single greatest thing I have ever seen Jimmy Fallon do:

From the second they mentioned Idina Menzel coming onto the show, I thought they did it to play Rachel's mother. I was correct. The duet they did in the dream sequence or whatever, was awesome.

And each time I hear the song "Dream On" I think of what Danny Gokey did last year. Each time I hear it I say "don't hit that Danny Gokey Note." (Which is sad because I wanted Danny to win.:(

Best episode to date. I want Whedon to direct every single one. The Artie Safety Dance routine was probably the best one they've done. As soon as it was over and he was back in his chair, I was tearing up.

Just because we watch it doesn't mean we watch it at the time it's on. I will be watching it in probably about an hour and a half.

That was pretty rad. You know, as soon as they started singing "Dream On", I totally knew NPH was going to be the one to hit that note. Awesome falsetto and a brilliant song.

This episode was definitely really good. Although I think they could have used NPH even more, but then I would love for him to just be the star of this and most shows :p

The thing they did right was making the songs an extension of the story rather that shoving too many song and dance numbers in the show just to have them. Each song felt like a true representation of the characters and their struggles. Artie's storyline was a total revelation.

Yeah they did a good job of that this week. For instance, the singing of "Pianoman" at the bar could have been turned into a number but instead they left it as diagetic sound (sound that actually had a source, the jukebox).

I liked that NPH's character wasn't just a peppy copy of, say, Barney.

Yes, the Piano Man number was beautiful. And they didn't do the entire song just for the sake of it. Keeping it the two of them and cutting it off in the middle was all that was needed.

The thing about the Artie dance number was the fact that they did use the mall as the setting. So it was not only Glee kids in there but other people as well. It felt organic and fun and a true representation of what he would want if he could walk. Then, BAM, when he was back in that chair the second after was so bloody powerful, it made me want to cry. It could have been turned into a cheesy dance number with lights and stuff but it was just so full of energy.

Even the Rachel stuff was good and I'm getting a bit worn on her storyline. I liked that Jesse really cares for her and I like that her mom wants to be with her. That it's not some stunt to get her to screw up Regionals or something.

Anyway, I'm going to watch it again it was that good.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with being an 18-49 male watching Glee, as the demographics suggest I am not alone. ;)

No, of course I watch Glee, but I think you would have been better off with a different topic such as my unhealthy addiction to Dancing With The Stars or something...

And as for Rachel's mom, dude I called that the moment Idina was cast.
