I FIGURED IT OUT, I FIGURED IT OUT!!!

My favorite graphics program to use is Corel Photopaint b/c that's what I learned on originally. The problem is that I could never figure out how to make lightsabers look good with it b/c the glow just never came out right. I tried adapting the photoshop method, to no avail.

This morning I was giving Jared crap about the saber's glow that he posted on his site, and he mentioned that it was the PSP (paintshop pro) method. So I found the tutorial for that since I got a free copy w/ my computer, and decided to test it out. Well PSP and Photoshop have a few things in common and after playing around with that tutorial, I figured out how to get the sabers glow to "glow" in Photopaint!

Yeah, most of you don't care, but this has caused me MUCH frustration in the past b/c I'm always saying how photopaint can do anything photoshop can if you just know how to use it. :D

Now I can make sweet lightsabers in my favorite graphics program :D

SS, stop looking for those knurled thumb screws, they are not to be found around here. I even went to suppliers for stores, you know a $1,000 min. order [face_laugh], no go. They don't even have them. Talk to DH, he can tell you the closest things he found.
BUT, if you do can we be your first phone call? Jeff needs them too :)

Kim, the knurled thumbscrews are actually very popular with the computer mod crowd. I've found some thumbscrews locally at computer shops, but so far, the all have the actual screw notches(phillips/regular) in the head. I've found 'em online, but they're way pricey ($2.00 each screw plus shipping), and I don't think they'd be delivered in time.

I know!!! we are looking for ones w/ no, regular, phillips or allen type notches on the top. About 1/4 inch high, maybe that big around, steel so he can powdercoat them.

Keep me updated, I got burnt out :(
